Using CM U1 (2 fans) and U2 (4 fans)

Biggie lappie on U2 with back cover removed dropped from 70' to 57~58'

Lil lappie on U1 not much difference, even with back cover removed

Plan to get additional fans to DIY, not CM type of course

well, watch some reveiw regard zalman in youtube... the nc3k is too big for a 14" laptop... the nc2k design like covering the whole thing, how it goin to blow air into the notebook...

If you would like to spend few hundred dollars on a Zalman cooler (if you can find one) do go ahead and tell us the effects compared to a rm80 U3 cooler as i'm curious what kind of technology it emplies.

i said the nc3k is too big... from the video i saw on youtube,nc3k even put a 17" on it would still fix nicely so it would b too big for a 14" notebook... wat i said about nc2k is that the design look like covering the whole bottom part in comparing with U2... since the design U2 was such a way where the ventilation would b good since the is nth covering the bottom part hence air blowing into the notebook would b good... but on the other hand,nc2k design would more or less cover the whole bottom part of the cooler, would the ventilation and air blowing into the notebook b affected...
on top of that, the nc3k design has a big fan at the center but at the side is totally cover up... for my notebook, acer 4830tg,the vent is at the side... if i were to use nc3k,the fan would only blow the air to the bottom of my notebook not into the vent...

You can purchase individual USB-powered fans for the U2. U2 can fit up to 4 fans max

Don't think its a good idea leaving internal components exposed though

Yeap, the more the dust accumulate, the poorer the cooling... and who knows them dust might even affect the inner components as well sad.gif
There's actually not much to do, just do all the things required (change better thermal paste, cooler pad, regular maintenance etc.), or buy an aircon haha doh.gif
