do households in japan majority have WiFi? like Malaysia?

specifically in Hyogo Prefecture.

Please enlighten me, thanks !

if you say household then it depends on that house lol

QUOTE(dancing_flame @ Mar 3 2013, 12:58 PM)
Hi,
I am working in Tokyo for three months already and I am starting to get bored.. Any interesting places that is a must visit? I am going to be here for another half a year.. a friend suggested doing every stops on the Yamanote line  :-)
*
go to bar and meet new people, its winter go snowboarding or skiing, go clubs and events, check out timeout.jp and find out yourself what's interesting and happening around town
japan has more things offered compared to malaysia.. if you're still bored then i have no doubt that you're a boring person

QUOTE(git0926 @ Mar 4 2013, 09:33 AM)
hello, i am a student, age 22, using own savings to go tokyo. is it hard to get visa? should i buy ticket first or apply the visa first. need some advise. thanks
*
no its not difficult. just buy your ticket and apply your visa. check out japan embassy website in malaysia for more information on requirements and necessary documents

QUOTE(tatsuyachiba @ Mar 10 2013, 02:35 PM)
I hope you have been successful with your job search and are all settled down in Tokyo.
My family goes back 2x a year but I malas nak ikut. Japan very stressful place - too many unwritten rules.

Besides summer in Tokyo hot giler sial (or raining) and winter (while not really super cold relative to north) in old house with no insulation is madness.
On the other hand, the recent yen-yasu is much welcome.

Take care.
*
Yeah yen is badly dropping since earlier this year. It's great for Malaysian travelers but terrible for me as I still send back some money back home
Tokyo's summer is worse than KL I agree. It's too humid I sometimes feel like dumping myself in bath tub for the whole day!

I'm currently working pretty much settled down. Thanks! Although the job is half decent compared to my previous career but its I guess it's a start
If you plan to come back next time you'd have someone to go for a drink with smile.gif

QUOTE(beckham_zed @ Mar 11 2013, 02:50 AM)
Oh ye, i forgot to tell....i'm still in Malaysia right now & my flght back to Japan is on 1st April.
So, if the hanami is on 31st march, maybe i can't join
*
The date set is just a tentative date. That's why I stated 31st March or 7th April.
You're available on 7th April right?

Anyone else?

I have 40k yen unused n now it worth a puny =___= back when i changed it, it was close to 3.95 =__=.
oh well, if i have a sudden urge to go jp, i do have yen in wallet at least www
*
Yeah it sucks big time. The peak was 4.2 and at that time buying things from overseas was such a bargain.
You should have change it back to MYR earlier and buy during this downturn.

QUOTE(pino88 @ Mar 18 2013, 02:37 PM)
I wanted to do a one day trip on that day... big possibility to take the tour bus for Yokoso Japan.. for YEN 9500
however, I went to matta yesterday they said all depends on my luck  blink.gif and I check on the weather which has live view at Mt Fuji.... it was cloudy...  yawn.gif
So if I take the tour bus, but I cant see mt fuji.. I cant see any point going up for 2 hrs..
not offence but its not cheap thou... YEN 9500 per person eh..  hmm.gif
*
If you just wanna see Mt Fuji close up and at the same time do an activity I suggest you go to Fuji-Q theme park. You can purchase the package locally and would cost roughly the same. This way, you can enjoy the theme park even if the mountain is not visible. Although it might not be the best spot to snap great photo of the mountain but I would say its good and close enough. Btw, if you enjoy thrill rides theme park then you should go there!

Heads up.

Japan MOFA will soon implement visa waivers for Malaysian nationals. Which means no more visa required for tourist visits.

First reported here:
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2013/04/2...s/#.UbXzQ5x1gmw

Latest news in Japanese newspaper (I don't have a link, sorry) says that this has been approved and will go into effect soon (when? soon but don't have details).
*
From what I read in Japanese news they said its in summer. Exact date to be announced soon

Yeah all good bro. Settled down and I'm fairly used to living here. My Japanese is still basic and that's an area that I need to brush up. Job wise, still looking for better opportunity. How bout you man? Do you fly here anytime soon?

NZ was a super duper boring country.

Its not boring if you enjoy nature. Its more laid back kind of country. Plus, tons of awesome outdoors activities to do!
NZ is perfect for retirement! I'd love to retire there someday.
