for Mastercard i got x1 and for Amex got x5

did some calculation

Money changer exchange rate is  USD = $3.025

if amex rate  for RM639x5points = 3195points which is about RM15 value(~2100 = $10)

if money changer rate USD206.15 x 3.025 = RM623.60

so 639.71 (Amex rate) - 623.60 (moneychanger rate) = RM16.11

even if Amex is more expensive when it comes to exchange rate the TP kinda balance things up abit. so it's not really that bad.

if the transaction is on weekend, u got 5% rebate too, and it will be much better than the money changer rate

I was in Tropicana City Mall this afternoon and saw Maybankard 2 Cards booth was there. I saw free gifts too, too bad I'm probably too poor for them to approach to. They didn't approach me so I didn't know which free gift is that. 

Anybody who wants to try applying, maybe can drop by Tropicana City Mall.

i oso frequent tcm as i stay nearby ... wanna apply but they oso never approach me .... saw the gift bag demn big but i onli know inside got 1 angry bird kid bolster , other dunno.

btw i wanna ask about auto debit ... izzit any merchant can be fill in the form? i cant find the merchant list , any1 know whether hong leong assurance can onot?

One using Amex

Then one using Mastercard (cuz they had 15% off for Mastercard, that's why use this instead of Amex)

On the same weekend did a transfer of $ to a US Paypal account. Paypal - Paypal (charge to Amex)

Bank charges are usually abit higher.

Also... Mastercard gives a better exchange rate. could that be the 2.5%?

i just got my credit card today.. but there is something that confuses me.

i was told that my statement is on 3rd of every month and i have to clear the outstanding bill before 23rd of the same month..

So if i spend using my credit card on 20-24/6, must i clear it on 23/6 or 23/7? I'm going oversea during that time.
