honestly, i had the impression that the first 150 (or 200) was like some kinda special price... like how digi offered the incredible s at a steal for the first 300 or so.

i din expect i would be buying it at rm1 cheaper. well, at that time, all the mention of $$$ din really register in my brain... lol...
*
well these devices are going to get cheaper and cheaper, no point we feel sad/angry over paying extra at the time. lets just enjoy our baby smile.gif

Press the same button again the turn it on or the power button.
*
yeap this works, but you have to turn off the "mobiledock battery saving mode" in the settings -> display section for this to work. otherwise it will go into some sort of deep sleep mode to save battery life.

lol... serious!? i mean, if so, no need to specifically use rainx also can la. any similar product should be ok, no?

but i wonder if it would harm the screen/ glass in any way...
*
i'm also wondering about this..not to mention that since its a touch screen, you need to touch it often, will the chemical of rain x have any affect on our own body/skin?

Yea, but i dont think id like to bring it around that much, the dock's a cool feature If you got a lot to type, but if i just wanna hang around at a coffee shop i wouldnt bring it with me

Saw some guy on youtube reviewing the case, but he's in UK, hope they sell it here too

CyberKewl,
Where did you buy ur transformer? Thinking abt buying it end of this week
*
myself and 199 of us bought from evernew it during pre-order on may 28th. i dont recommend buying from them because their staff is quite rude. we only knew about this after buying the device. you should buy from other resellers except them. i dont know which ones got sell so you have to either shop around or call them. good luck hunting smile.gif

That is why I didn't get transformer as I no need the dock. I felt buying it without dock seems like buying a handicapped tablet. Of couse it is not handicapped just a phschological feeling. At the end I bought the iconia as it comes buiktin full usb and 32gb for similar  price as eeepad tablet.  You can consider the iconia a understated , poor publicized tablet but performs great and that's what matter most. You don't have to be well known to be great.
*
yes, not much point buying transfer if not getting the dock because other tablets like iconia got usb ports on the tablet itself is useful enough for storage expansion. unless you prefer the brand name smile.gif

You should try yourself the various tablets ; by now I am sure most KL big outlets will have demo units. By than you should be able to make a good decision basing on your needs. One thing for sure, buying the EEEpad you can get lots of support and help here - better than Asus facebook or its support pages.

I make my decision after trying the xoom, eeepad and iconia at Challenger Store ( Spore ). I like testing stuffs at Challenger as they laid out all the tablets , totaling about 10 different types ( Viewsonic, Archos, China made, Motorola, Asus, Acer, Ipad, ipad2  etc ) out on a big table. You can spend time testing on all of it ; no one will come and disturb you unlike some KL stores, just only a few minutes touching it,  you will see the salesman overlooking your shoulder and trying to convince you to buy. I don't know what is the scenario at KL new Challenger store - hopefully is the same
Similarly you can test all the latest notebooks, smartphones etc - a indeed conducive environment to test gadgets.
*
Agree with you on this. Test all the tablets and find the one that suits your needs. Iconia is a good pick if dock is not needed as it has 32gb and priced same as eee pad transformer's 16gb..only main diff is the screen tech, should check out the TFT of iconia vs transformer's IPS. If ok with TFT can go for iconia.

But since i want the dock and love the TF's IPS screen, I chose TF tongue.gif

Anyone know any shortcuts to clear all widgets from your screen at one go, instead of one-by-one?
*
no shortcut, have to manually do it. alternatively you could do a factory reset tongue.gif

maybe you could clear the launcher data, im not sure if thats possible or got any side effects if you could do it, but i guess it'll clear all the customisation on your home screen..just guessing, never tried b4 tho.

If you mean after closing the tablet when docked, yes there is still a small gap
*
actually i mean the alignment between the tablet and the dock, on the left hand side there is a 1mm gap difference on mine. what i'm trying to say is that lets say you overlap two books together,, on the left hand side it is not aligned 100%, but rather there is a minor gap difference. is everyone else's the same?

mine is not aligned too, just discover this few days ago.
*
yes this is what i meant, but not a big issue, not like we go and stare at it when it is closed..doesnt affect any usability of the tablet and/or dock either smile.gif

I started to see this problem only recently, don't know is it beause of my custom rom or not?

Added on June 17, 2011, 7:18 pm I have both my dock and tablet fully charged. I am using the battery status widget recommended in this forum.

This morning before I go to work, I see both statuses are 100% charged. Then I turn off my tablet by answering the "ok" to shutdown. I have both my tablet and keyboard connected properly.

Since both are fully charged and I have shutdown (turned off) my tablet, I am expecting no power is used. When I reach home after work, I found that the widget is showing me, the dock left with 75% power only.

Means once your tablet is connected to the keyboard dock, the dock keep transferring power to the tablet even the tablet is fully charged and not consuming power (turned off). I am worry that both batteries will not last long if I always get them connected / docked.

Anyone tried to test this out before?
*
i'm also wondering the same thing, but it is strange that you saw both 100%, if both are 100% it should not use any power at all even though it is docked unless your tablet is on. but since your tablet is not on, it doesnt make sense to see a loss of 25% in power unless the battery widget is not refreshing properly and the figure that you saw was not accurate.
