That's a good price for the security door!
I just called and they're now quoting RM3488 for front door 5'7" and back door 3'7". And for 5'7" double layer doors are RM4000 by itself. |

still haven't apply yet. the meter still in single phase. will apply anytime soon.
The TNB cable from neighhour to neighbour is already 3 phase by default. So just use the cheaper version ie overhead instead of underground. This post has been edited by kingkong1: Jul 25 2011, 05:53 PM |

Is there a need for 3 phase? Unless you are switching on so many aircon simultaneously.
From what I was told for single phase, can use up to 5 nos of 1HP aircon simultaneously. |

BTW, will use Vivace swithes (the cheapest range) which can get from Top 10 at discount of 25+5+5+5. I got it from the wireman as he can match the price.

Yeah...initially not intend to upgrade...but just do it since it is not so expensive for the upgrading. From what I was told for single phase, can use up to 5 nos of 1HP aircon simultaneously. Drop the idea of changing the flooring for 1st and 2nd floor. As the cost of installing laminated flooring from HouseDepot will cost me about RM12k (RM3k to remove old parquet and level the floor) and stair case RM6k (RM150x40). Stick to the original plan of regrinding and revanish the parquet.

The cheapest single laminated limited colour is RM3.90(8mm)/RM4.90(12mm) including installation.
Other excluding installation of RM1.90 starting from RM3.50psf (8mm)/RM4.50(12mm). Staircase standard price RM150 perstaircase. (My contractor quote me RM190 using tile) This post has been edited by kingkong1: Jul 26 2011, 05:49 PM |

RM4200 for 900sf looks ok. What material is that? What scope of work?
The staircase including the tiles? Price of the tile? Wood material? This post has been edited by kingkong1: Jul 27 2011, 08:57 AM |

Q's:1. can't your contractor leave the existing parquet below. it will save you rm3k 2. cost of regrinding and revarnishing pls? who shall we contact for this scope of work? tiler or timber floorer? |
