after reading ur post, i believe that ur phone is root, which u can c the superuser icon. the reason ur titanium backup failed is i believe u have to install busy box,
u can google that.

root will not let all the market app become free, it just let u have the right to full access ur phone, acting like admin in window,
it will not change ur phone speed, memory and etc.
*
wow
nice one
was waiting for u for a long time x.x
there is a BusyBox by Stephen (stericson) in market
use that?
that means appbrain is just like the normal market?
applanet is only usable when the server is online?

anything recommend to my rooted phone to do? rclxm9.gif
i dont knw what can i do thou i've rooted the phone rclxub.gif

Yo guys, where can I find this phone in KL? I'm gonna get from gtrowa2003 actually at his shop in Sunway Pyramid. I asked him wether his shop open on Friday or not but no reply.

So anyone from KL knows where can I get this phone? Of course Original Set (for sure don't want AP set (if there is)). Maybe someone knows where I can get it in "popular and known" places? Not a Malaysian here, my friend gonna get it for me on Friday smile.gif

Possibly maybe Sunway Pyramid on which floor, shop name etc.

Thanks guys. So gonna get this phone. Lol.

I never tried this yet.How is it?Any better than Galaxy Ace?The design is sexy
*
well

Ace
- 800 MHz processor which is overclocked and atcually is around 500+
- 278 MB ram, very insufficient for me
- 3.5 inches screen
- not support flash which means cant play game or video by web browser

x5
- 800 Mhz processor which has not been overclocked yet and so far can see ppl overclock to around 1.2-1.5 GHz
- 5XX MB ram, more than enough
- 3.8 inches absolutely bigger screen
- support flash

partition and overclock nothin to do with flashing the rom..
overclock is used to make yr cpu run at higher clockspeed..
partition is used to repartition the internal memory so that you have more internal storage and less internal sd card..

Added on June 19, 2011, 6:55 pm

no need to flash rom, but you need to root yr phone..
after you root, install setcpu n juz set the min and max cpu speed that you want.
*
that means overclock is just have to download the apps and set the speed that u want?
which apps should i download for overclock purpose?

can i know your steps of repartition?
wanna do it for my phone

got some extra questions
when i go to App2SD
at the " On Phone " section
got no apps are shown at there
but at the bottom there shows that
my total is 590.56MB but only available 320.65 MB
where are the 269.91 MB gone?

the apps which are in " Phone Only " section
is mean that all the apps under the catogary is in ROM? or the 2GB internal memory

last question,
when i wanna kill tasks
i can see the memory is
XXXMB/354MB
how come my ram is only 354mb?
it should be 512 MB right?

really thanks a lot for answering my question! tongue.gif

do you have "root explorer" file manager? If u have that, u can easily navigate to /cust/maxis/my/app/ and delete the demo games from there. However, make sure u grant superuser to root explorer when it ask for it, then click the "Mount R/W" button on the top right when u are at /cust/maxis/my/app
*
dont knw why mine still cannot be deleted
it has been granted superuser access

and yes ,your info on the kernel already clearly described that kernel is a custom kernel by geno smile.gif

so is that mean customize the kernel is required for OC?

Custom ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059753

Step 1: Set up Clockwork Recovery:

1. Download clockwork at http://www.multiupload.com/DQGL84P3A5. Unzip and only use the recovery.img from the cust folder.
2. Ensure that there are no Huawei rom updates on your SD-Card in the dload folder and unplug the phone from your computer
3. Boot to bootloader mode by pressing the up and down volume keys and pressing the power button. This will show a plain violet/purple screen.
4. Connect the phone to your computer. In windows it will automatically mount one mass storage device which corresponds to the /cust_backup folder on your phone. If your OS supports EXT3 it will mount multiple devices, look for the one with an images directory and this is the device to use.
(Basically there is a flash drive with a folder that you can rename the current recover.img and paste the clockwork one.)
5. In the images directory rename recovery.img to something else (ie. recovery.bak) and then copy the new recovery image in its place.
6. Exit bootloader mode by pulling out the battery.

Note: You now have the clockwork recovery installed. Boot to recovery by holding the volume up and power buttons to turn the phone on.
To scrol up and down use the volume button. To enter/select use the power button.

Step 2: Set up Clockwork Recovery:

1. Download B160 ROM; update.zip to you pc from: http://www.multiupload.com/0HR8W3BMUR
Don't need to unzip it.
2. Copy update.zip to your sdcard. Either SD card or internal 2GB. Put in root/main directory.
2. Boot to clockworkmod recovery by pressing power button & volume up simultaneously (don't press volume down).
3. In clockwork you can perform a full backup. Go to backup & restore > backup > enter. Wait until it complete (there is a progress report).
Complete the backup.

Reboot back in Clockwork recovery.
4. Apply update from sdcard. It wil state the update.zip file found. Press power button for enter. Wait until it complete (there is a progress report).
5. Reboot to system. First boot will be slow as it rebuilds the dalvik cache so be patient, successive boots will be back to normal.
6. To ensure you are in the new ROM. There is a poweruser icon and its running launcher pro.

Notes

1. By default the kernel is set to the default cpu governor and clock speed. If you would like to overclock I suggest using setcpu: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...937&postcount=1
2. Be aware that after applying this you won't be able to restore the full backup unless you either revert to the original rom, or change the boot image. The purpose of the backup is instead to have a backup of /data just in case something goes wrong.
