I just insert my celcom 3G simcard to my phone.
Go to contact and select import contacts (import from SIM card) but after completed the process. My contact is still empty.

Strange enough, when I call my sister, her name showed on the Call log & favorites BUT not in the contacts.

Pls help me.

----------------
I tried diffeent method but still failed

I deleted all contacts in my simcard using old phone then insert into X5, then I copy all contact files (vcf) from old phone to X5 SD card. Import and scan the card, I can SEE all the contact. But after finish importing, the Contacts is still empty.

------------
finally problem solved after a factory reset!

Help me again! when the sim card and contact is working. I saw 3G (and up & down arrow), which mean the data is downloading, and I'm seeing the weather & news info keep updating. BUT I DONT APPLY ANY DATA PLAN YET. Alamak......I let it run for 20 over minutes.... next month my bill will shock me to death. Now I just switch to flight mode.

What running applications I should set to disable all data usage?

Download droidwall from the market and make sure you tick everything under blacklisted.

Unfortunately, my modem don't have WIFI, I can't download droidwall.

Now I'm checking the "running services" and saw the GOOGLE SHITs are trying to use data. I belive Google Messaging Services, Hi Space BatchUpdateService & DownloadService; VpnServiceBinder are all trying to update.....Alamak.... first time use Google Android phone is really scary without data plan.

Oh. Not sure about the running services though, but I noticed that some of the services will run automatically.

Anyways, better just disable your data connection. Easier. Lol.

Go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Uncheck "Data Enabled"

What do you mean? Hehe. This phone is actually better then Ace for sure. You won't regret it for the amount of $ spent.

For stores, not sure though since I'm not Malaysian blush.gif

But, you can get it from IMCC at Sunway Pyramid (that's where I got mine) and also you can buy it online from some seller listed in the first post.

Yes, easy to touch. Not like those iPhone China. Haha. This phone is responsive and packed with good specs. No worries about it. Surely recommended if you're looking for an Android phone with budget around RM850 or slightly lower smile.gif

may i know how long the phone battery can last if :

1. play game like asphalt / other racing game?
2. play video ?
3. normal usage (5-10 minutes call, <10 sms, < 1 hour wifi browsing)

4. i heard lots of complain about phone signal from china/taiwan user, how is the phone signal performance in malaysia ?
5. screen protector, casing available ? (cos this phone is not that popular in malaysia...)

considering between samsung ace and this one... but more prefer this one, spec better, outlook better (to me)... smile.gif

Can't really answer on battery life, but all I can say is, it's good enough while doing light gaming though. Not a hardcore gamer here. Hehe.

If it's just for some msg/call and light web browsing, it surely can last awhile.

4 - There's no singal/reception problem for the phone. It works just like other phones.

5 - Screen protector is available for it in two different type; Anti-Glare (Anti Fingerprint) and also Clear ones.
Casing is also available. Softcase and also hardcase. Can get it from this forum. smile.gif

need guidance regarding internal SD card.

Why I bought X5, the seller installed Sygic for me. Because of some issues, I did a factory reset. I found that Sygic is no longer found in my program list, but the internal SD card still has an 'Aura' folder about 280MB.

I feel that my internal SD card is very messy after installing lots of stuffs. I notice that some folders may contain system files. If I format the internal card before a factory reset, will these system folder be created automatically? I want to make it truly clean.
