QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ May 31 2011, 12:07 AM) There are two rules that are crippling United's youth development right now. spend 90 mins? this is a freaking joke for me, how can they get the best out from them with this limited time? 1) United can only recruit from within a 90 min radius of their training ground. 2) United can only spend an 90 mins a day to train the kids. It's to prevent exploitation of kids or something like that. |

spend 90minutes only? but i think this is what SAF meant, and not the 90 min rule saying the player must be staying within 90 minutes travel time from academy.
he meant barca can coach them whenever they wan, while he only gets 90min coaching time with the youngsters. i've read from the SOS that 'Typically the 14 year-old boys will train for six hours a week and play a game of 90 minutes.' in barca's academy. also, barca has their own hostel, which build strong ties between the boys from young. At the age of 8, the coaching emphasis is both on mastering control of the ball and the need to understand tactics. No wonder xavi iniesta messi busquet fabregas etc are so good on the ball. lol |

QUOTE(pisces88 @ May 31 2011, 12:36 AM) spend 90minutes only? but i think this is what SAF meant, and not the 90 min rule saying the player must be staying within 90 minutes travel time from academy. It's not just an academy, Barca have a bloody boarding school. The kids stay there, study there and train there. This gives them control over the environment where the kids grow up. The amount of time they spend in training can be seen in today's Barcelona. They're reaping the rewards of what Cruyff built 20 - 30 years ago. Pep was the first generation. Xavi the second. Iniesta and Busquets the 3rd generation. Or something like that.he meant barca can coach them whenever they wan, while he only gets 90min coaching time with the youngsters. i've read from the SOS that 'Typically the 14 year-old boys will train for six hours a week and play a game of 90 minutes.' in barca's academy. also, barca has their own hostel, which build strong ties between the boys from young. At the age of 8, the coaching emphasis is both on mastering control of the ball and the need to understand tactics. No wonder xavi iniesta messi busquet fabregas etc are so good on the ball. lol United, on the other hand, can only train a kid for 90 mins a day. They stay with their own families in their own neighborhoods within 90 mins drive of the training center and go to public school like other kids. “We are only allowed to coach youngsters for an hour and a half, they [Barcelona] can coach every hour of the day if they want to. That’s the great advantage they’ve got and they have a fantastic philosophy." Things might change in the future though. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/20...s_over_pla.html The FA plan to change things because they realise not all people are suitable to set up academies. And I especially like what SAF said here, "We’re good at it but we’re not as good as Barcelona at this moment in time. It’s a wonderful challenge. We should always accept a challenge.” Here's to the future!! This post has been edited by +Newbie+: May 31 2011, 01:08 AM |

Closely linked players =
David De Gea (nearly completion) Wesley Sneijder Luka Modric Ashley Young Jack Rodwell Guys, I understand that we need a keeper and a midfielder. But Ashley Young? Can someone explain why? I think it's better to get Alexis Sanchez or Neymar and develop them to be like Ronaldo |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ May 31 2011, 06:17 AM) Bodoh punya orang. Not Berba, but you. pepagi dah sepam kat sini. awal nampak?? To keep the team English. Plus, he has good qualities with him. Don't be so skeptical of him. Like most of us do with Valencia's signing back then. Look what he has done for us? we shud sign igor akinfeev, artur boruc, raphaël varane , edinson cavani, ezequiel lavezzi, alexis sanchez, marek hamsap, moussa sissoko, eden hazard, Yann M'Villa. our future is good for the next 5 seasons. saf can retire for good. |

Yo guys.. hehe..
I was chatting with one of my friend And.. guess what, ok, fine, he hammer Man United, how badly we play.. And then.. he say, Barca only true rival will be Liverpool (oh yeah, he's Pool fan ) I asked why he thought like that? He say, we have beaten Barca before, we play attacking football and know how to counter barca… He make comparison of 2006/2007 whereby Liverpool against Barca? So, i told him.. that time, Messi, Inesta, Sergio, Pedro has yet come into the rank, to play One pass football, play like a team.. He replied "that time Barca got ronaldinho" I was like @_@ .. alright.. but the way they play that time is different.. Btw, i just , alright… i said .. i just pray that Liverpool can get into 2012/2013 champions league, and face Barca, we will know that time whether Liverpool can win.. Oh yeah, but first, your liverpool must qualify it…. no point of talking the past result if on current result is shit… He butthurt This post has been edited by MultiplyConsult: May 31 2011, 09:07 AM |

QUOTE(MultiplyConsult @ May 31 2011, 09:06 AM) Yo guys.. hehe.. well, Barca playing style have changed over the years. before Pep guardiola took over, Barca usually deployed a one striker up front with the support of 2 wingers cum forwards. this is Johan Cruyff's style of football. Over the years, Barca have Kluivert, Ronaldo, Eto'o to play in that position. But, during Pep's reign, he reinvented the system. no more one man striker up front. Messi and Villa as shadow striker. drop deep and play wide respectively which made opposition CBs often lose them under their radar. when the CBs realize it, they will be too late.I was chatting with one of my friend And.. guess what, ok, fine, he hammer Man United, how badly we play..
