hi guys...i just got my pulse...im playing last of us right now...after adjust setting on accesory (following manual instruction) ..so i got some problm...

1) the audio run all perfect but i can;t hear ppl chat also my own voice (even mic icon alrdy popup every each psn id but i cant hear them)

2)is there need to be reset the headset or can teach me the proper settings?

I just got the Headset and due to misplacing of my "3.5mm Audio Cable: 3 feet"

Where can I get a replacement for it ?

Any 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable works. You can either get fancy by DIY with better materials or just go buy a ready made one.

The new headset looks slick,but it doesn't have bass impact like Elite's. I wonder which one is better since i'm into Bass Impact thingy. (my last one broke down)

I don't use the bass impact thingy. To me it's just draining more battery life from it's already small battery and doesn't give much enhancement to me.

Will surely pickup the Gold,no more playing games with low sound when my wife sleeping at nite *ps4/ps3 in the master bedroom*

Review unit coming in 3rd week of Feb, hopefully.

At least the Gold will have up to 8 hours of battery life, versus the 6 on the Pulse.

Bass impact is shit, even ppl talk also vibrate.

Yes it does, the VSS mode on Sony's headsets works for all games. This is because all it does is it takes a stereo source and upmix it into 8 channels (7.1), very similar to how Dolby Pro Logic IIx does upmixing on stereo sources into surround channels as well.

The reason VSS mode on gen1 wireless headset, Pulse Elite and the upcoming Gold sounds so bad is because it is creating channels that isn't there in the first place. A reason why Dolby Headphones and many other HRTF-based virtual surround technologies will always beat Sony's VSS mode. Accuracy (imaging) and seperation is poor on Sony's VSS, it's hard to exactly pinpoint where each virtual speaker is and where exactly a certain audio cue is coming from.

So don't believe the hype, don't believe the marketing. You aren't getting proper virtual surround from Sony's headsets.

May I know which gaming headset would you recommend to LYN gamers? Hehe

Almost none to be honest. Gaming headsets are just bad in quality. No, I can barely even recommend Astros to be honest.

But if you want a no fuss headset without ripping hole in your wallet, I think it's going to be hard to decline the Gold wireless headset. I don't know what the price will be in Malaysia, but seeing as it is a drop-in replacement for the gen1 wireless headset, it should cost somewhere in the realm of RM350.
Also, since the Gold uses the same drivers as the Pulse, they should sound pretty similar.

Once again, the durability on the Gold will be biggest question here. The gen1 and Pulse weren't very well received interms of how durable they were, so let's see if Sony has did anything to improve the build quality of the Gold.
