QUOTE(ventrilocks @ Jun 7 2011, 10:19 AM) i got the same prob as you..cannot focus if the object is too near... I think it is not a defect, every camera has its limit of focusing object on certain distance. So if you put the object TOO near to the camera lenses, it can't focus to it. Unless extreme cases like 10cm distance also cannot focus, then it might be a defect. But still need some camera expert to clarify on this.

Without a physical Macro switch, you usually cannot focus on anything closer than 3-4 inches or so. well in macro mode in 3inch or 4inch can focus..if 1-2 inch cannot..

QUOTE(Lineage @ Jun 7 2011, 09:23 AM) Maybe they will charge for their ROM Very unlikely. CyanogenMOD has been developing roms for countless smartphones and is all free. Just following their nightly builds will drive you insane keeping up/testing with it. If you like their work, they will appreciate a donation for their efforts Samsung now realize the potential of the growing users who wish to push their smartphones higher up to another level beyond the default limits. HTC recently had announced their agreement to unlock the bootloaders but all are still waiting for their date. Sony Ericsson had already done that with their Xperia series. Well even in this thread and several other threads, I see many new users who in their first entry into Android expressing their wishes and showing intentions to root, flash rom etc even though they are still noobs. I have received many PM from such users ( probably they are shy to post in forums ) asking me to guide them or explain certain Android terminologies. Some are so noob that questions like - how to format SD card, how to enable mass storage , how to install apk files, how to push adb files, how to use terminal etc are asked

yea im facing camera focus issues when im holding the object away only about 2 inches. I wonder whether it's defective and hopefully custom rom will be able to fix this issue.
