1. When you are comparing the quality vs your K800i:K800i resolution is 3 megapixel. The typical file size of a 3mp photo is about 400k per picture.
Arc, on the other hand, when capture in 8mp, the file size is only 1.6mb whereby it should be around 3mb typical. SE's native camera apps overdone the image compression resulting in the image size being small but the details are lost out. You can try the recommended app (camera360) to see the difference. You might need to sacrifice the file size for better image quality.
2. Battery Life vs K800i
Almost all of the full touch screen smart phone suffers from low battery life. On average it is able to last 1 day on normal usage. There are a number of ways to further extend the life such as disable 3G when not used (this is the killer), reducing the background apps, use apps that will auto-disable features when idle.
Normally the 1st week you bought the phone you would spent alot of the time fiddling it, which make it sucks out the battery very fast. Just hold on until the battery performance runs in and you runs out, then you can be more accurate in tackling the battery issue.
