QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Oct 14 2011, 04:20 AM) No, the type of gifts given out is depending on the season. Those theme park tickets (2nd season) expired already. Now, it is a gift voucher (3rd season) exchangeable for gifts at the airport's departure hall. Duration: 16/07/2011 to 01/15/2012. Hi, I was working with a semi-govt organisation in Taiwan for about 2 months, so part of my jobscope was to introduce some of the lesser-known areas of interest in Taiwan to others.
I've made a video introducing Neiwan (which was where I was positioned). Neiwan is a little Hakka village in the Hsinchu county, and is accessible by train from the main Hsinchu station, or a bus from Hsinchu to Zhudong, before changing to the local train. Here's the video, enjoy! And I'm sorry for it is in Japanese > < http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQiMd3wNOxk |

Yeap 5 hrs is pretty fast.. U dun really feel it esp when you listen to music, watching a movie (Bring your netbook/ipad/tablet, reading or sleeping.
The only important thing ensure the plane is reasonable sized. Dun take 737 plane.. narrow & only 2 toilets (Eco class) catering so many ppl..They blocked Biz class toilets!! |

Unless it is cheaper by a lot or no direct flight available, try not to transit, you'll end up taking longer time or spend more $$ to reach your destination.
If you are lucky, you'll be able to connect the next flight right away. If not, you still have to wait a min. of few hours before your next flight. Plus, there's a risk your luggage will be misplaced! Last time, our family took Dragon Air + Cathay Pacific to Japan, transit at HK. When we arrive at Japan, the airline informed us two of our luggage were left at HK airport. We were only able to get back our luggage the next day, very inconvenient. Still, their service is quite good. |

Hi. I am going to Taiwan during CNY. I have booked my air ticket, it is on the 25th of January, but the ground arrangement tour package is still not out and I heard that the travel agencies in Taiwan are closed during CNY. I have no idea what should I do now.

Just opt on DIY - Backpacking style lor if you hv not try this b4.. much more fun & much wider interaction wth locals, food & transportation.
Their MRT connecting almost all the attraction surrounding Taipei & you only need train & buses to further abit from Taipei |
