National Palace museum actually very boring. I would rathe skip this than others. Just collections of Beijing Forbidden City personal belongings, gifts from Foreign envoys from the past Emperors.

It's huge but boring. Not really history museum at all.. I you visited Perdana Gallery in Langkawi i.e the collections of personal gifts from ppl to Tun mahathir..Well, something likedat

Do not expect the palace museum to be like the one in Beijing. This one is much smaller and unless you are really interested in Chinese history, I think 2 hours should be enough to cover the place.

Any one can help to recommend the best amusement park & cow farm in Taiwan?
Is that the amusement park like what we have here in Genting/Lost World of Tambun?

Who can help me? i can't read Chinese and need to find hotel near Sun Lake Moon or in that area... anybody tried before?
*
There's Mayzen: http://www.mayzen.tw/about.php or http://www.mayzen.com.tw/

It's near the tourist centre (the bus stops here), around 100m. A lot of Malaysians stay there.
The room rate NTD$1500 - $2600, with breakfast.

I'm going to Taiwan this October, planning to spend a night at Sun Moon Lake too. Might stay at Laurel Villa / Mayzen.

I think bank provide better rate. However, RM won't be interesting in Taiwan, in fact, you lose quite an amount. Do you have USD on hand?

Why you say so far when the 1st place once you touch down is Taipei airport?
The airport money changers (Well more like banks)..offering one of the best rate I ever seen and almost similar rate to those banks in Taipei. i.e almost to market wth additional NT$30 commission on each transaction if I can stil recall.. hmm i dun wish to go that far tho....btw inside big department store have ?

RM is not well traded in both KL & Taipei, so the best if you wanna save ~ RM30-RM40 for every RM1K, change to US$ 1st & thereafter to NTD$ at Taipei airport.. check the example of converting on page 1
