The DD cover absolutely fantastic  drool.gif  drool.gif

and the Marvel AR thing in the AvsX-Men is quite cool. Works well with iPhone - like having extra features in a DVD

Then not much price diff between the digital version. Yup, i know nothing beat the feeling of holding a hardcopy with that nice new paper smell biggrin.gif but my days of buying actual comics are long over. Too lazy being one of the reason. Now slowly collecting digital version especially those that i have sold off long ago.

On a side note, just read Secret issue 1 fom Image comic, looks promising. Smallville issue 1 sucks though laugh.gif

Hi guys,

Came across this awesome thread and thought I'd just list my comic collection to see if there are any interested buyers out there. Rather than letting them continue to gather dust, why not let true fans appreciate them! All of the below are in near mint condition:

Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars 7-12 (Yup, all the way from 1984)

DC Comics

Batman - Black & White 1-4
Batman - Manbat 1-3
Batman - The Long Halloween 1-12
Batman - Ghosts (Halloween Special)
Superman - The Wedding Album

Kingdom Come 1-4
Marvels 1-4

DC Versus Marvel Comics 1-4

Image Comics
Groo 1-12

Sergio Aragones Massacres Marvel
Sergio Aragones Destroys DC

Topps Comics
The X-Files 0-32

DC Vertigo

The Sandman 73-75
The Dreaming 1-17
Death - The Time of Your Life 1-3

Yup its the continuity from season 10 of the series. Not much shown in issue 1, the main attraction i guess is the pics of tom welling in Sups getup.

Don't have an Ipad. But all of my comics were read from Galaxy Tab, and like i mentioned earlier reading/watching AvX Infinite (which comes free with AvX) on it is something else. The transition effect is pretty awesome.

The first announcement was that penciller Ryan Stegman would be leaving Scarlet Spider after launching it with writer Chris Yost and drawing five of the first six issues. Replacing him is Khoi Pham, who was just recently announced as joining the rotation on Daredevil but was replaced by Chris Samnee with what was to be his third issue (#14), leaving him drawing only the #10.1 one-off and the first part of the "Megacrime" arc in #13.

I follow Ryan Stegman on twitter n he said that he would be on Scarlet Spider forever. I get it tho I mean its like his baby. He n Yost brought it to life, so to speak.

I really don't like it when Publishers play musical chair with the artist of a title. I wish an artist which is great & suitable for a tone of a comic would stay with it forever. But obviously its too good to be true.

At least independent publisher like Image don't rotate their artist so much. Charlie Adlard of The Walking Dead & Ryan Ottley for Invincible are examples of 2 great long term artist on a series.

Well aside from that I want to ask where would u guys normally get a longbox to store ur comics? N what the usual price for 1?

And if u have any other tips for taking care of comics can u please share?

Thanks smile.gif

Long boxes are quite expensive more then RM50 per piece for the good ones.
Usually i recommend the short boxes for easy storage

Use long box only if you have the space to place them on sturdy individual shelves with reinforced brackets. Else the entire structure will sag

NEVER stack long boxes on top one another perpendicularity as the ones at the bottom may sag and totally destroy the entire structure.
You can only stack them criss cross style

Things to note when keeping comics are the dust, mildew, sunlight and your No 1 enemy the silverfish.

When using backing boards and plastics just go for the el cheepo ones and place 2 book in one pack. with the back cover to the backing boards
Most of the time in our climate even the good ones will cause the plastic to crumple and backing boards to turn color.
Change the packs when required.

Expensive books you should keep in UltraPro hard plastics or those turtle shell casing

AvX 2 just out on digital format. All hell officially break loose. Luv the tongue in cheek humor, but i do think they could do better on the drawings. But good read anyway.

Like i mentioned do not stack long boxes only the short ones

EvoHan you should also be wary of your box's weight and place the heavier ones at the bottom logically

You can strengthen the box by taping the sides around continuously with duct tape

Added on April 19, 2012, 9:36 amSo many horror stories of boxes and shelves warping and collapsing under the weight of comics. Mine you they are light singularly but collected in an army, fwah damn heavy the boxes especially with the backing boards and plastics combo

Hi everyone,

I'm desperately looking for Avengers vs Xmen issue 1 but no luck as of yet.
Ive tried (earth 638, comics corner & comic mart ) already. I know my chances of getting one is slim but can anyone recommend me other shops that i can search for one ?

Thanks
