OMG, June is already a big month with the new Superman and Batman/Superman titles.

Now DC is bombarding us with this Villain's Month 3D motion covers in September and all at USD3.99 each!

Batman, Detective Comics and The Dark Knight each have FOUR comics featuring different villains.
*
Yup, DC just wanna make sure they released 52 comics to go with their DC New 52....
By the way, I am sure they will release an omnibus later on with all 52 issues in 1 hard cover...
so, if u can wait, it might be better to buy the omnibus, as it is usually price at USD 150, and if u buy 52 comics, it will be USD 207.50...

OK, just read the news on Newsarama...
DC is really gonna suck us dry.. at least I am the sucker that will fall into this... cry.gif
On another hand, can't deny that I am actually very excited...

Villain Month blush.gif

That is, there will be 52 issues of Villains, and then 7-issue mini series (Forever Evil), and three 5-issue mini series (Forever Evil: Rogues, Forever Evil: Arkham War, & Forever Evil: ARGUS)....

So, all this add up, there are 74 issues excluding the tie in issues from the on-going titles... sweat.gif

Wow.... this will keep me busy for few months.... sweat.gif

Hope DC do not screw this up... Better make an epic out of this....

At the rate they're going, looks like there'll be way more than 52 issues of villains!

Four Detective Comics.

Four Batman And Robin.

Four Dark Knight.

Four Batman.

Four Action Comics.

Four Superman.

Three Flash.

Two Aquaman.

UPDATE: Four Justice League and two Earth 2.

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/06/04/wha...d-two-aquamans/
That's already 35 just from these titles!
*
My understanding is that DC will only issue 52 villain comics.. and not all title will have a villain month..
so, i guess some comics will just follow their normal on-going number and not replace by this villain month.... blush.gif

I am using Villains Month as a good excuse to drop DC. While I know I will still retain the Superman titles, I don't know if I am gonna continue with Flash, Aquaman, or the Justice League titles.

I am definitely dropping both Earth 2 and Worlds' Finest.

This seems a good time to just drop DC titles and focus my $$ on Marvel's Infinity event and the second wave of Valiant titles.
*
If u ask me, i guess DC is doing some good comics... like Aquaman, Flash and Earth 2...
I think it is better than a lot of Marvel titles...
In fact, I think I will skip the Infinity comics, and just wait till they come out with the trade paper back/ hard cover...

You're half right bro, some titles won't receive their own villains month issues. But there's going to be 56 villain issues!

*
Yup, 56 issues...
For Zero month, they did 55 issues... now they are 1 better.. 56.... sweat.gif
I guess in October there will be few more issue 1 to be announce to make the on-going back to 52...

How is Zero Year going to tie into Green Lantern CORPS? I can understand showing Batman/ Hal Jordan dynamics, but a Batman space story?

Flash, Green Arrow, Action Comics I can all understand.
*
Are you sure this Zero Year is all tied into Batman? or they are showing their individual Zero Year, their own origin?
Let's just wait till there is more news...

I know the feeling bro smile.gif

Sometimes it's hard to drop a title, especially knowing that you've been following it regularly for years.

Then again, with the current state of the DC New 52... this is not such a difficult task anymore tongue.gif
*
Haha... but i look at donutgeek list, they are mainly Marvel titles... sweat.gif

I'm not sufficiently familiar enough with Marvel to make suggestions ma tongue.gif

Up until Jonathan Hickman's Avengers got me hooked on Marvel again, I was barely following Marvel titles at all other than Captain America and Ultimate Spider-Man in the oversized hardcover/omnibus formats.

In any case, donutgeek's list is mainly all the Infinity tie-in issues... and those titles have been garnering mostly good reviews thus far smile.gif

IMO, it's a good time to be a Marvel fan right now. The Marvel NOW relaunch has been way more awesome than New 52.
*
I would say there are good and bad titles from both companies... blush.gif
For Marvel... I am quite dissapointed with Age of Ultron... after reading the whole story, my feeling is like there was nothing significant and solid.... sweat.gif
Also, I still disapprove of Superior Spiderman... mad.gif

And looking at Marvel, they are starting to drop titles too... Morbius and Gambit is being canceled... I think more will come...

I agree with Age of Ultron. What a huge let down in the end. Luckily the Avengers 2 movie has no relation with that. However, I'm kinda bummed that, from what I gathered, Henry Pym won't be the creator of Ultron in that movie.

I kind of like Superior Spider-man though. Yes, it's sad that Peter Parker isn't there any more, but I do want to see how this plays out. He's definitely an ******* now even in the Avengers titles.

I'm more of a Marvel fan, although the DC universe has been pretty good so far.
*
Huh... I thought Henry Pym is gonna be featured since they annouced the Ant Man movie...
That is why I thought Ultron will be introduce in the Ant Man movie before Avenger 2....
As for Thanos, I guess it will be featured in Guardian of the Galaxy... I think that is how the Marvel studio want everyone to watch all the show, as they are all inter-connected... sweat.gif

I think Ivan Reis is a great replacement artist for Jim. And JL 22, the 1st chapter of Trinity War was a real good issue.

For me I agree that both companies have great title but I have started to drop Marvel titles as some books which double ship really burns a hole in my wallet.
*
Yup, I agree Ivan Reis is good.. I will still stick to JL... but thinking of dropping Green Lantern as Ivan left...

Again, double agree, I hate Marvel double ship every month, and different artists for the 2 issues... like there is no continuity in term of arts... vmad.gif

No, Joss Whedon has confirmed that Hank Pym is not Ultron's creator in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

IMO, most likely Tony Stark will be the one responsible for Ultron, and (this is just pure speculation), I won't be surprised if Stark dies in the movie since Robert Downey Jr is getting too expensive and has indicated no interest in returning for further Marvel movies.
*
To me, the most important is that they do not reboot the Marvel Cinematic Universe... as they have been doing a good job so far....
hope they will develope more from here, and not reboot from zero again..

Anyone excited about the return of Nightcrawler this November?

A new X book is launching by Jason Aaron & Ed McGuinness - Amazing X-Men. I've come to love Aaron's writing since Thor and McGuinness is a great artist so definitely will check it out.
*
It's good that Marvel is reviving Nightcrawler, he is one of my favourite too...
But not so excited in this title.... There are too many x-men titles out there already...

By the way, just my thought.... Since Spider-man is no longer "Amazing", so now, its "Amazing" X-Men.... blush.gif
