For me i just collect either, direct ed are nice and glossy where you can pick and choose the most perfect one but newsstand ed which are sold at newsstand tend to get damaged more often and sometimes with limited runs of certain titles it should be more valuable ? well golden and silver age stuff i don't think have any direct ed that i know off. just imagine that action #1 is direct ed and some guy went to the comics store and get the most perfect copy and has the foresight to keep it in a stasis chamber with nitrogen. It will really be THE HOLY GRAIL. pristine color, no yellowing, staples are not rusted, almost perfect 90 degree angel corners. CGC 9.9. to 9.9999999. fwah. i don't think they will have a price for it. something like the mona lisa. priceless.

aiya you think manga or hongky comics meh, all american ones after reaching a high enough number will reboot, kill or re-volume their books. bugger back in the early 90s with image i remember buying issue one of cyberforce, so excited later to find out in the fineprint that this issue 1 is for volume 2. no wonder the story not tally

QUOTE(Nyarlathotep @ Jan 29 2013, 05:18 PM) Hey guys, need some help. After reading i wrap all my HCs in those transparent thick roll wrapping paper for textbooks. I usually wrap them like a present instead of the usual book way.I've only recently begun collecting comic books. 3 of them are HC and one is paperback. I'll be collecting more HC comic books in the future. My question is, how do I store these, especially the hardcover graphic novels like Batman Vol. 1: Court of Owls? I bought the previous comic books from Kinokuniya, and they don't give a proper comic storage case :/ Is there any place I can find 'comic bags' for my comic books? I want to preserve them You better get a sturdy shelf with good supports as my wooden one is already curving at the weight of my HCs |

I thought i was the only crazy kollector in Malaysia, anyhow i have tons of single issues dating way back in the early 90s to late 2000s then lazy to collect singles but trying to komplete some of my series (current project is to fill in the gaps for SPAWN 1 to 100). now adays i'm more into HCs. have not really catalog my books but i guess i have more then 10k singles and a few hundred HCs. Some of my most valuable books that i own are: Sandman issue 1, Wolverine Mini issue 1 to 4 and some HCs which are already expensive in their own right. Good to know i'm not not alone
