Are you meeting him in person? Are you going to San Diego Comic Con 2012?  drool.gif  drool.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

If i am meeting 'the man', i would spend $$$ for a silver age book and get him signed, amazing spiderman #1 LOL......wishful thinking....

Yeah, after 2 years of failing to get the tickets, 2012 has been kind for me when i manage to secure the tickets including the preview night. This will be my first con. I also manage to get the Stan Lee meet-and-greet session pass organize by desert winds comic. A lot of people actually suggest to get something from spiderman, but it's damn expansive lol !... the one i'm able to afford and currently bidding now is spiderman 252.. the one with mcfarlane cover.. with spidey donning the new black suit.

What about local comic store here ? any suggestion where i could a vintage and may cheaper spidey comics ?

Golden or Silver age books will devalue if it got any blemishes including signature.

Its like Leonardo placing his signature on the Mona Liza, as far as i know there is no signature on the painting

Anyhows i would recommend the Just Image series where Stan the man retell the story of the DC super heroes or the fattest biggest omnibus book you can get if possible i believe FF or Amazing Adult Fantasy have chunky fat humongous ones

That's a good idea man.. i'm thinking to get stuff like marvel masterworks. Just Imagine would also be nice i think i still could find those in kinokuniya...

Why getting Spiderman #252 to sign by Stan Lee? Not related much with his work there. LOL...
Getting Silver Age books better get in the states since you already going there?? Local Comic Shop have some but a little pricey for some. Earth 638 have some nice ones on the wall......

Maybe you should get
1) Latest Omnibus from Marvels - Avengers..or Fantastic Four... or Spiderman....
2) Toys/statues to be signed
3) Any of the silver age, some might say it will devalue the book, but some would say it will be more value as personally signed by Stan Lee, although it is not CGC, get signed key issues - Amazing Spiderman #100 , 121, 129, or if you are out of budget, get key issues from recent marvel stuff or variant which you would like him to sign:)

Finally got back and i survived my first comic con.

I did get Stan Lee to sign my Marvel Masterpiece for Hulk and A poster. It was a good 30 minute session, and he was sitting next to me rclxm9.gif ... i guess my life is complete now. Do check out my Pinterest Board

Not that long, it was about 15 minute. Similar to last year, which make me think that our Unifi connection is not that bad. I've read that the online queue placement is much related to the ISP.

Yes, it was sold out in less than hour. But there is still chance since the public badge will only be on sale in April. The important is to register and get the member id to be eligible for purchase.
