I have to agree that some designs resemble established models from the likes of thermaltake, cooler master...etc. A friend of mind bought a powerlogic casing at the recent PC Fair...with features such as ducting mod..transparent side panel..top back and front grill..plastic sliding lock for the hardware..blue LED lighting...blue illuminated front functional monitor (displays time, temperature..bla..bla), front cover to hide the 5.25 bays..and etc.. having said that..It took him a few days to fix the glitches and problems after tranferring his hardware inside the casing. It turned out to be caused by the PSU (same brand). Dunno..up to you guys..feature wise, they're trying to compete with the big names..giving value for money. Performance wise..they need some improvement (what's the use of numerous value added features when it fails in the basics).. This post has been edited by hobbit: Aug 22 2005, 02:06 PM |

which model are you referring to?
and I don't think powerlogic PSU can compete with other leading PSU makers, antec, enermax, acbel etc... the discussion on this thread is more on the powerlogic casing, and not the PSU. |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Aug 22 2005, 02:11 PM) which model are you referring to? As I have posted in the first page, powerlogic PSU is very fragile (no matter it's cheap or expensive model). Some of them are made by "Atrix". and I don't think powerlogic PSU can compete with other leading PSU makers, antec, enermax, acbel etc... the discussion on this thread is more on the powerlogic casing, and not the PSU. iZuDeeN, the PSU comes with the casing, why shouldn't we compare it when comparing powerlogic casing? You still pay for it when buying your casing, right? Let talk back about the quality of its casing. Examples: 1. Dura 200M: -Cheapest among all series. -The PSU is super fragile. -The casing metal is so thin until you can bend it easily. -Only 2 intenal 5.25'' bays but it shows 4 x 5.25'' bays at outside appearence. -The internal 3.5'' bay is hanging which is easily pull off. -Always missing some metal plate. You need to RMA it if you are unlucky. -Many more..... (it seems that no QC for this model 2. Climatica V1000: -When using Intel LGA775 stock fan at high speed.... the whole casing will vibrate a lot and you will hear a lot of metal hitting sounds. (affecting many other models below RM100 too) -Some units have short-circuited internal pc speaker. You won't be able to turn on your PC if you plug the internal speaker. 3. Utopia U2000MX - The screw holes at the PCI/AGP slot doesn't match exactly for the cards. And a lot more.... The above are only a few examples only. Please bear in mind that these problems are not happenning once in a while, they happen frequently even on different batches. However, for powerlogic casing costs RM150 or above, the problems are minizmied. |

snoy....
even some model of iCute comes with PSU...but still it can't beat the dedicated PSU manufacturer as listed above... Well, I can't comment on the models you state above since I've yet personally to test it... I just take your words on it... |

Well, I can't comment on the models you state above since I've yet personally to test it... I just take your words on it... The PSU quality is even poorer than those RM35 chapalang PSU. The PSUs can be faulty initially before you buy it or just after one month of using. Furthermore, these PSUs are not used to run on prescott or AMD64 platform, they are merely used on sempron 2200++ or VIA C3 platform. This post has been edited by Snoy: Aug 22 2005, 08:45 PM |

if you remove the screw behind the plastic silver cover, it will become a square hole. It will just leave a square mark on the 8 areas. If you still want to use the cover back, drill the acrylic and put the screw & cover back to its original place.
If you just leave it alone, it will still look good. |

Came across this casing recently in computer shop.
External look are quite good with large LCD in front. But never had chance to see inside and real part. Any mod sifu here got this casing at home ? mind to share some experience with me. Planning to buy new casing for my incoming new pc. Thanks first |

I just wonder the words "quality" stand for which features ?
The material, the design or ... ? |

quality term is very broad but it this case it should include material, finishing, technology, and construction rigidity..
