How much you expect? You how many years experience? Which engineering? Which industry?

Of course good salary won't fall from the sky and land beautifully on your lap. and FYI i have a very good reputation during my 8 months intern at ALU. go work at 9am, leave work almost 9pm. Im not that typical cheapskate gal looking for good salary with no experience. i have good grades too.

Been interviewed,passed SI,promised a job but PET so miskin now (and EE market ain't good in PET, unfortunately). they offer 4k (which is not bad), im looking for better pay knowing what i can offer. and yeah im choosy when it comes to good-earn-money (who doesn't??). just looking for the right job with best offer at the moment. chill lah bro

Well,wont' blame u for jumping into that "stereotype-conclusion" as i'm well aware of the typical unemployed grads with so-so qualification but demands sky high.

my friends, 2 guys and 1 girl working for JKR (contract)

workload very very high mang...not worth a single cent..

my extra senior engineer colleague's boss's underling's colleague also have super duper OT rate. His basic around 90k.

I like your attitude, often I see a lot of freshies 'spoil' the market for others by accepting too low of a pay and poor working conditions.
But realistically 4k as a start sounds around the upper end of what anybody would pay for a fresh engineer in malaysia. Maybe if it involves some odd times, offshorre etc you could get more.

Woooo sounds interesting! though i have a degree in Engin, i've always wanted to venture in managerial work and those requires intensive analytical and critical skills before deliberately hook with engineer profession. Just figured i might have the 'hidden talent' (i hope!) since i've did procurement (with no experience and knowledge whatsoever) before and i gotta say i sorta enjoy it . Management was always been the 'thang' but didn't really get the chance to reveal the skill. hahah. well love both anyways!
