QUOTE(cryogenist @ May 28 2011, 07:32 PM) my friend is doing the benchies for the tx-4 and IC diamond. Will decide which to go when the review is out. He is trying IC diamond now and the result seems promising. He will receive the tx-4 on either tomolo or the day after. Lets see how it goes. Also, since IC diamond is made of diamond, there are tendency that it gonna scratch the surface of our heat sink fan. |

I really want to know whether did Sager do a bad job for the thermal paste spreading for my laptop. |

Speaking of thermal paste, don't buy Arctic Silver as the result was not impressive at all. I have tried it on my G73Jh

I have tried it on my G73Jh yeah Arctic Silver Thermal is not worth at all, but its much cheaper offered by companies, well i searched in net before, so far IC diamond is quiet better than Arctic Silver and as well TX-4 Thermals, lower heat....its better, i choose diamond as well for my np7282 since i am using 6 core processor and dual GPU, i coudnt take risk and choose a normal compuond...im not gaming alwyas, sometimes using Xilisoft and adobe softweres, they all using all the six cores, if its not a good thermal they really will fry your heatsink nicelyThis post has been edited by Devina_8: May 29 2011, 03:46 PM |

AS5 cant even compete with mx2. |

QUOTE(Prince J @ May 29 2011, 08:29 PM) true...becuz before i used to have arctic silver, then i paste the ic diamond and find it its really better, even though its offered expensive but its a important necessetiy for powerful laptops.---- ---- btw i think 970 was a good choice for gaming, the results are very close to a 980 or 990x due to being a same architecture of cpu, good is its a 32nm cpu...produce less heat and better WATT draining ! |

i just bought 2 meter carbon fibre from some guy at singapore forum. Well, i choose USA product rather than 3M because i wanna try wat is the different between 3M sticker compare to other manufacturer. Well, this carbon fibre tat i bought is made in USA, it is label as "bubble-less carbon fibre sticker" by the seller. It is damn thin, and i never think it would be this thin. It is so thin that if i stick wrong and i wanna restick it, it just tear off, i need to pull it out slowly and gently and restick. 3M is alot more thicker. There is a pros and cons between these 2 sticker though, well, if u want more protection, i am sure 3M is the best brand ever. But, if u wanna stick something which got curve edges, 3M gonna give u the creeps. This USA carbon fibre sticker, u can just stretch it and curve it without the use of hair dryer. And also, thick sticker can actually insulate ur notebook and prevent the heat to release out from ur lappy. Thin sticker actually better in term of releasing heat compare to thick sticker. Patern wise, both look 99% identical. But the glue residue after removing the sticker, well, the seller told me not to worry bout it as it can be remove easily. Below is my newly pimped palm rest. Enjoice~

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ May 30 2011, 07:30 AM) lol, at first i feel like cutting away the fingerprint area, but then it is a huge risk as i might cut and scratch by touch pad, and also i am not using any finger print system, might as well just stick it away. Also, i cut away both side of the sticker at the left and right with the power button as i just realise that those small holes are actually vents for the hot air to come out. After i stick the carbon fibre to block it, that area feels hot. Tonight i will update the picture again.QUOTE(This is a Lamp @ May 30 2011, 07:34 AM) lol, i scare if i make it too big, u all kambing because of the pic. |

Yup. Not upgrade. A refresh in model.
Means all new productions should come with 560M instead of 460M already. |
