material used : 10mm Insuflex sound and heat proof 1 roll (used completely all), 3 bottles of 'some-sort of very very sticky glue', double sided tapes
Total cost of Insuflex with courier(GDEX) = RM400
Total of workmanship+materials : RM190

hi guys, i m planning to get a new forte in this coming months...mind to share whats the prob? local made means they import in the engine parts and everything assemble here?

between, i need to ask any forte owner here got modified their sound system as i need to transfer my existing ICE to the new forte, will this void the warranty?

my 1st video got other passing by traffic sound....and forget to mentioned....my front bonet was double layer soundproofing...using the 10mm insuflex inside, while cover back using the original bonet cover, that makes double layer soundproofing...

at most some electrical warranty for the headunit i suppose? generally most of us didnt change our ICE because the stock one is pretty good already and if you want to change u need to change the HU bracket too, cost extra $$$.

then it will be as if nothing happen...sad only pay for no changes

I'm short listing forte 2.0, now waiting for Avante to launch ndecide..but I don't think it will offer as much goodies as forte..

Been following Avante's news on several forums, but sad to know that the price will be ranging from 90K++ (probably 92K for 1.6 standard spec) to 10XK++ (for 1.8 full spec).... and SPAS & several cool features will most likely being wiped out for M'sia version, compared to 86K for 1.6 Full spec Forte with gorgeous gadget .... i've made up my mind to opt for the later. Not sure if it's a wise choice or not

Update on my soundproof sound :
Situation : Quite heavy traffic, @ Highway, Road condition not good, using Kumho noisy stock tyres
With AC on :
Idle : 51-53dB
Crusing@110km/h : 71-73dB(70dB achievable)
Without AC on(switch OFF) :
Idle : 44-47dB
Cruising@110km/h : 70-73dB(68-69 achievable)
