Heart wrenching event nonetheless...

To counter 3 5 2 wit 3 5 2; wary, afraid or spot on by d grmans...tactical flexibility at its best...kudos to them in 120minutes...kalaula italy ada striker

I missed pirlo...

Azzuri did great although without maestro, Marchisio and Veratti.

Conte was right that this is not the best team Italy ever had.

Hope in the future Ancelotti would takeover.

I find it amazing that a full strength german team could not beat Italy which is having suspension/ injuries with their main players.

I mean in normal/ extra time.

And not forgetting this current Azzurri squad is among the worst in the last 20 years.

Just imagine if De Rossi and Candreva were fit to play.
And Veratti was also in the squad.

Anyway congrats to Germany on winning in penalties.

Ventura.

Yeah I was hoping for Ancelotti or Allegri to be the next coach when the time is right as of now there are so many emerging talents in Azzuri but they need times and experiences to mature.

The likes of Donnaruma,Romagnoli,Rugani, Berrardi etc.

That is why i'm even more impressed with Italy.

The current squad is low on talent and technical ability.

And not forgetting the injuries and suspensions on our regular starters.

And yet the Germans find it so hard to break us down.

After more than 50 years, they still cannot beat us in normal play time in major tournament thumbup.gif

It is amusing that the current world champion cannot finish off a weak Italy team.

The boys should be proud of what they have achieved by holding the strong Germans side till the last minute of the game. Just that they are a bit unlucky on the penalties shootout and if Pelle could have sealed it off by a goal then it would be a different story now! Every players should be honoured for their achievements throughout the tournament!

I SALUTE to the BOYS! notworthy.gif
