The truth is that OpenGL is just something that uses your GPU as an assistant for your CPU.
CPU is the one doing all the magic there
For Photoshop performances, its RAM>CPU>GPU

One last question! What about the I5 and the I7, how important is the processor when it comes to photoshop and minor gaming? Maybe I should consider the I5 version it's only around 2.3k now :S
The processor plays a huge role in rendering your Photoshop stuffs, a quad core i7 will offer a huge gain in terms of processing power compared to the i5

Its best that you go for the i7 variant.
Different models of SB Processors have little or no effect on gaming though...
