It will be true if you dun have enuf power to trigger the force.

some physics here :

Tension do influence the repulsion and power.

High tension will make the stringbed like a steel board, great hard smashes and hitting sound, easy shuttles control.
but it need more effort to hit the shuttles because of reduced string repulsion (not so easy to bounce)

Low tension will make the stringbed like rubber board, easy to clears.
but it will harder to control the shuttles because of too repulsive.

Durability wise is obvious, thick string is better than thin string.

the higher the tension of the string, the thinner it becomes. thats y. alot of ppl say zymax 62 only ok up to 25lbs, if 26-28 use zymax 67 to get same repulsion, if 29-30+ need zymax 70 for same repulsion as zymax 62 at under 25lbs. if zymax 62 string too high become too thin, very easy to break. same goes to bg66.

@ Koooko

That is cheap!

Anyways I got a question. Anyone here using a replacement insole? I am thinking of getting one. Right now my foot, leg and my back is in pain. I don't recall doing other heavy duty tasks except badminton.

Read about gel insole from Spenco and tempted to get one so that I can play with minimal pain.

I am currently using one from Pro Tech, cannot remember the model, but, it made of gel, cost me RM30+ only. The feel really great rclxms.gif (as compare to the original insole), but, disclaimer first, all my badminton shoe never more than RM150 one, the most expensive is Yonex Ultima 101, cost me slightly above RM100 only, so, no comment against other more expensive shoe like Asics or higher end Yonex/ Victor/ Li Ning. In fact, I am got another one to replace my jogging shoe, it it work marvelous rclxms.gif .

But, disadvantage is that, since my badminton shoe is not Pro Tech brand, the cutting (side) sometimes can run a bit, so, got to adjust adjust a bit in between game. Thinking of sticking it using some plastecine. whistling.gif Running is ok, cause your leg moving 1 direction only, while badminton, u move multiple direction

Tuli's brand insole. . . >> http://www.supports4u.com/tulis.htm

go get the heel cup or the full length insole. . . be careful with your knee if overweight, correct & proper footstep is also very important to protect your leg when playing badminton. . .
