QUOTE(gho57 @ Jun 9 2011, 11:11 PM) Hmmm.. not really sure whether they can do this or not. Proton might breach the agreement with Mitsu if doing this. dont hear hear,I heard a news from a friend of mine that Proton currently are facing lawsuit from Mitsu cos of changing the absorber ( not using like what being fitted in Lancer ). Of course Proton did improve the handling compare to Lancer as they tested that if you sped the Lancer at 180kmj n above the back end of the car would become unstable n swaying, as for Inspira I bet you guys felt it much more stable rite So I'm doubt Proton would change any other parts but still anything could happen..hehhehee it is a known fact that mitsu allow proton to change the suspension settings, including changing the absorber. |

exactly.
mine, once the whistling sound settled, im loving every moment of driving the car. gaps, compressor sound, and to some extend, paint quality not good? gaps are meant to be there. u wont want the headlights and rearlamp to crack even on mild impact? imagine if it is in contact with the body panel, even a bicycle knock will crack your headlamps. btw, just for info, 1 pc of headlamp = RM1700+, not to mention a pair. dont bother too much, it is a car afterall, and the less u worry, the more u enjoy. something to ponder. this is from a toyota altis 2.0V test unit. now tell me, any of our inspira has this issue? QUOTE(vinothrao84 @ Jun 12 2011, 12:14 PM) owh ya true also.... ya...the difference would be just the amount of commision each SA is willing to cut out.but should i ask multiple showroom or they are mostly having same promo? since raya is around the corner .... advisable to book around that month if they have promo? Also, dont waste time getting tint vouchers, our Ecotint is more than sufficient. in fact, it is of higher grade than the toyota(s) that are also using ecotint. |

QUOTE(Poadster @ Jun 13 2011, 02:30 PM) The highway consumption is again subjective to driving habits.... me will drive at constant 180++, thus will never get good FC... but then its also never as high as 20sen/KM... haha...15km/l, can, but very boring lah..and dude, can u use km/L or L/100km format as your sen/L is way too subjective to fuel prices (RON95 or RON97 or V-Power Racing)... if V Power Racing then 20sen/L is very good FC ma.... Let ckk125 feedback on this, he has achieved 15km/L (if RON95 = 0.126sen/L)... but he was driving it at 90-95km/h on the highway.... So, your high FC statement is really subjective... its like 95-100km/h all the way. Added on June 13, 2011, 4:27 pm QUOTE(eone @ Jun 13 2011, 03:32 PM) Actually, from my past understanding CVT is just for smooth gear transition technology, and not about FCs.... .. tried the sports mode when out for lunch just now, I can change/upshift the gear to produce less rev.. but the system will downshift for you if the rev is to low.. anyway.. its hard to maintain also, back to auto =_= our CVT is not like those non torque converter CVTs, ours have torque converter, not so efficient in delivering power as there are more power loss, but it makes up in better reliabilty.CVT improves FC in city where it plays a huge role in maintaining lower rpm from standstill( but the problem is, we will redline it lah) another huge plus point to have CVT, is when going up hill, we can maintain the RPM at a desired level and will dramatically improve the drivability of th engine intead of downshifting to search for more power. Speaking of pedal shifting in our CVT, it can be used for engine braking as well, like most cars, there are overdrive buttons, L gear and S mode. our CVT dont have those, only pedal shifers or semi auto mode. very good method instead of constantly braking and risking brake fade. QUOTE(InterCooler84 @ Jun 13 2011, 09:42 PM) when i stop my car at the traffic light, i engage the gear to N. the rpm shows 700rpm. then if i turn the steering to either left or right about 90 degrees, the rpm will respond and go higher to 900rpm then drop back. does this happen to your inspira too? i wonder why it does that Normal.our power steering is a hydraulic power steering and it gets its power from the engine. that is why the rpm goes higher Added on June 13, 2011, 9:45 pm QUOTE(shouxx @ Jun 13 2011, 09:39 PM) when we drive slow in D, then press all the way down, the rev will go up n stay just below the redline? is this normal? not familiar with auto car so abit worried to keep press like that... >.< erm...normal for CVT trans, it enables the engine to stay at specific rpm. thats why in CVT cars, it feels like the engine wont run out of breath as compared to conventional ATThis post has been edited by ckk125: Jun 13 2011, 09:45 PM |

QUOTE(shouxx @ Jun 14 2011, 06:26 PM) icic.. so i don't have to worry in D the engine will never rev over redline right? ya. wont rev over redline. reached 210 yesterday from sg besi tol to bangi... still feel so stabile! CVT for inspira, if want to drag, put in pedal shift 1st gear then once reach redline, change to D. it is faster that way. the reason being in 6 speed semi auto, the 1st gear will make the cvt redline faster than in D mode. then once in redline, then change to D, it will maintain the rpm at max power. This 1 i havent try, but it is based on this article. QUOTE Continuously Vexing Transmission (CVT) We partly blame this GTS's sluggish performance on its CVT transmission. While a five-speed manual continues to be available (and we recommend it for this car), the traditional four-speed automatic has been replaced with the CVT. It allows you to shift among six ratios with steering-wheel-mounted paddles. Mitsubishi says the CVT offers a wider range of ratios than the outgoing four-speed automatic, thus increasing both performance and economy. Instead of varying engine speed and shifting gears to suit, the CVT can maintain a predetermined engine speed and continuously vary the transmission ratios for the desired vehicle speed. And the combination of the 152-hp four-cylinder and CVT does outperform the 120-hp four-cylinder with four-speed automatic with both quicker acceleration and better fuel economy. Driving a car is an even more variable endeavor than either of these two continuously variably optimized situations, however, and the GTS's CVT has a hard time figuring out which one you want. Even with what Mitsubishi calls Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System (INVECS III), a program that learns the driver's behavior pattern over time, too little power always arrives too late. In due course, we noted the system responded more quickly if we downshifted when we wanted more speed, and so we did — all the time. Since we noticed the engine reached redline quicker in Manual mode (at 45 mph instead of 75 mph in "Drive"), we left it there until the top of 1st gear, then switched over to Drive to complete the rest of the quarter-mile, cutting a second from our time in Drive-only mode. The CVT gives you a kind of elasticity in performance like a conventional automatic transmission, and it's more responsive and more fuel-efficient. But you wouldn't exactly call it responsive compared to a manual transmission, and you have to continuously keep tugging at the shift paddles to achieve any speed. And that kind of diminishes the whole point of a CVT, doesn't it? Source Added on June 14, 2011, 6:55 pm QUOTE(kelvin_hata @ Jun 14 2011, 06:51 PM) Of course, it is developed to withstand more torque and power and will not fail that easyFYI, our Jatco CVT can support up to 2.5L engine, used by the Nissan Taena sorry, honda city uses 3.5L CVTF This post has been edited by ckk125: Jun 14 2011, 07:00 PM |
