Yep, battery water is distilled water. Just don't add pipe water or mineral water!

Added on May 30, 2011, 3:27 pmBtw, I tried pumping my tyre beyond recommendations .250/240 as suggested by somebody. No good. Way too bumpy at the rear. Now back to 230/220. Much better and comfortable.
Btw, anyone got take back the extra engine oil during service? I forgot to ask mine during 1st service.
*
i also missed my 1st service balance...quite alot, we'll have around 400ml of oil left, quite easy to kumpul to 4l. tongue.gif

400ml? I thought our car use only 4.2l? Should left 800ml? Or the 400ml goes somehwere for flushing??

Anyway, my thoughts (assume use 4.6l each time)
1) Service 1 - collect 400ml
2) Service 2 - Use the Service 1 400ml + 4L + 200ml from new 1L (left 800ml)
3) Service 3 - Use the Service 2 600ml + 4L...save money on new 1L(in this case, ask them to give u the 1L bottle, since free maintenance), still got 200ml left.
4) Service 4 - Use 200ml left from Service 2 + 4L + 400l from new 1L (left 600ml)...
5) you count lar...

Can??? tongue.gif

btw, how do you check how much alreay pour in? Just use oil dipstick?
*
maybe some is lost in the oil filter?i noticed that they tend to overfill.mine above the full mark

woh the cvt is very good and low rpm...

FC ok ma ?

Added on May 31, 2011, 9:30 am

manual still on high side very sian already ...

tough it will be lower than 3k when doing 110kmh...
*
city use, 9-10km/l

highway, can go up to 15km/l

manual's rpm might be high, but there is less power loss as compared to the torque converter of the CVT.(our cvt has a torque converter)

For CVT users...for faster 0-100

QUOTE
In due course, we noted the system responded more quickly if we downshifted when we wanted more speed, and so we did — all the time. Since we noticed the engine reached redline quicker in Manual mode (at 45 mph instead of 75 mph in "Drive"), we left it there until the top of 1st gear, then switched over to Drive to complete the rest of the quarter-mile, cutting a second from our time in Drive-only mode.

makes sense...will try it out if got the time. rclxms.gif

i got my voucher when collect my car, but got 1000km, 10000km, 20000km only. dont have 5000km?
*
inspira and lancer's service interval is at 10k.

lancer uses syntium 1000 while proton uses syntium 800.

for me, Eon doesnt allow me to upgrade to syntium 1000, so every 5k km, go outside and just change the oil.

dont worry, the oil filter is ok to change at 10k, just worried that the semi synthetic oil couldnt last the full 10k km

I received a discount of RM3000 + 3 years free service for 2.0P. The SA told me he can offer me more discount if I were to confirm the booking. now still considering. What do you guys think about the FC in compare to Toyota Altis?
*
definately altis better, by 2-3km/l on average.

but the driving experience, inspira much better.

ya true mine also..

I just wanna complain about the signal sound and the seat belt warning, very annoying..
*
can change the signal sound..if anything, it is much better than honda's signal sound. tongue.gif

and if you guys notice, when the signal is on, it doesnt have any sound when turning the signal unlike other cars.

if we focus more on the better parts of the car, it would be so much better

Hey guys, just did my 5k service, not at proton but outside workshop, i have changed:

Engine oil: Amsoil 0-30w Signature series, 5 Quart ( Slightly less than 5litres but sufficient) Cost: RM210
Oil Filter: Bought from spare parts shop, the packaging is in Proton AMP form, which stands for Proton Aftermarket Parts. Cost: RM8

Total cost: RM210+ 8 + 10(labour) = RM228

After result:
Engine much more quiet
Smoother acceleration
Better fuel efficiency i guess
*
erm. correct me if im wrong, our oil filter is not the same as per proton.

Inspira still uses mitsu oil filter.

Been reading the Mitsu vs Proton AMP oil filter thingy and finding it amusing...

I was at one small but authorised SC doing oil change recently and they brought out Proton oil filters for Inspira. I then checked the dimensions of the Mitsu vs Proton filters, and they are the same in dimension and outlook, only diff if Mitsu filter is in black while Proton is blue...

I check with the SC Manager, and was told that its the latest Proton instructions to use Proton parts when the SC have exhausted their Mitsu filters, and why would Proton not wanna use their own branded filters?

So, you can ask for Mitsu oil filters when you change your oil, but you will prolly get Proton AMP filters from now on...
*
wao...hopefully Eon still gives mitsu oil filters.

or else...time to PM sontuc.haha

amp = rm8
mit = rm34
*
but if im not mistaken, proton now have 2 parts, 1 is proton genuine product and another is proton AMP

the former is the ones used in SC. they can know that you changed the oil filter outside and give them reasons to void your drivetrain warranty.

Proton genuine parts is just a sticker on the mitsubishi parts, while the AMP totally looks different..Nvm la, now i am assured that mine is from mitsubishi, fair enough..
*
nono..

The ones we use(as of now)(inspira) - from mitsu

Proton genuine parts have their own oil filter(for saga, persona, waja,gen2, exora bla bla)

The proton AMP is another type of spare part, also for proton cars but not by proton genuine parts.

so there are 3 oil filters were are talking here.

1) Mitsu rebadged proton oil filter
2)Proton oil filter
3)Proton AMP oil filter

Hi brothers,

I'm a potential Inspira buyer and there are few questions I would like to ask before making the reservation for an Inspira 2.0P.

Can someone briefly share their experience with the 2.0P on the FC with normal city driving ? Does it consume a lot more compared to Honda City / Vios?

What are the reasons that you guys chose this car instead of a Kia Forte 2.0?

The fact that my SA told me Inspira wait time is only 2 weeks kinda worries me because it seems like there is very little to no interest in car by the market.

I was also kinda turned off to see that this guy doesnt have a USB support for mp3 playing
*
hello and welcome

FC for city, 9-11km/l, but mostly 10km/l - depends on your right foot.

for highway, can be up to 14-16km/l - again, the 16km/l done at 90-95km/h which is too boring for this car.

Kia forte is a good car, but i love lancer more.haha.

Why need USB when bluetooth can be used? tongue.gif
