Forgot to mention, use Dr.Web instead of Norton. This useless Norton cannot be uninstalled completely, leaving residue all over the place.

Best hope is to use endclearv2 and try to clean the leftovers. Not sure if this will work, Norton has many dirty tricks.

You will need to install powerpython before installing end clear below:

Well, as for my problem it would be the GPS is moving real slow. It captures the movement of the car kinda slow compare to normal usage last time . This results I always went into wrong direction rclxms.gif .Anyone have any solution ?

Btw, as Xploit recommends, did you try to enable the GPS ?well ,paying 0.10 cents would be a quicker way to lock signal biggrin.gif

the older version of nokia phones have this issue its cause by your car tinted. Especially you have v-cool there always a few seconds delay.

Starting from Nokia N9 and above this problem have been fixed they provide you a stronger gps chip.

Lumia 800 - no such issue
Lumia 900 - no such issue
808 Pureview - no such issue

The main issue here is lack of available free ram. The processor is quite small compared with recent models but the built in GPS is the most powerful of all even when compared with newer models.

If the processor CPU is slow, it relies more on the Ram to reconcile data during triangulation.

Use any program like JBak Taskman to check available ram or any such software. When you have the GPS running and the free available ram is less than 50 MB, do not expect fast results.

Hi all,

Have a question regarding flashing custom firmware.

I'm using red 5800, RM-356 0570916, firmware v 31.0.101

I want to flash my 5800 to XFW International Custom v1.0EC firmware, downloaded the custom firmware quite a while ago but didn't dare to flash it until now coz the phone is like damn slow d tongue.gif , i have the following files:

RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22
RM356_40.0.005_023_xxx_U01.uda.fpsx
RM-356_40.0.005_C01_prd.rofs3.fpsx
RM356_0570196_40.0.005_001.dcp
RM356_0570196_40.0.005_001.vpl
RM356_0570196_40.0.005_001_signature.bin

but then i realized "RM-356_40.0.005_prd.core.C00" is missing, i tried to use Navifirm to download the original 0570916 firmware and realized the 40.0.005 version of 0570916 (including the blue and black variant for malaysia) is not there anymore sad.gif

i downloaded the "RM-356_40.0.005_prd.core.C00" from APAC1 RED (0559476) as a replacement and tried it on JAF, everything seems ok to be flash as below:

user posted image

this means i can flash and won't brick the phone using the replacement file from APAC1 RED (0559476) right? and the chinese input will still be available?

thanks! =)
