i'm trying to install BF2:SF, then a message stated something like not enough space. need at least 2400MB.

i'm pretty sure that my hard disk is more than that.

my c drive is 2.5GB.

does it need to be installed in c:? then i'll try to free up some more space.

Yes first free up space (3 gig) on your window drive only then that you can install BF2/SF on different partition. Stupid EA patcher!

yeap , mine hwen hav 3 gigs , worked perfectly

i've already free up some space and successfully installed. then after patching 1.12, the game won't start. it returns back to windows.

if you say yes to all of the question above, i don't think it's a harware problem.

hmm... interesting problem you have there. First, always start with the obvious:
1) have you installed the latest grahics driver?
2) have you instaled the latest directx?
3) set all video settings to low and try again

let me know when you've done this steps.

btw, whats the spec for your notebook?

as for amacharu, does the game play properly without SF installed?

whenever i patch the game, the game (even without installing BF:SF) won't start and if i didn't patch it (1.03 and 1.12) the game runs perfectly normal.

I have the same problem here...before i patch bf2 to v1.12...i can run the game with nothing wrong...after i patch the core Battlefield 2 to v1.12...i can't start the game...it will go black for a couple of seconds before returning to my desktop...anyone knows what's the problem??

seems like I'm having problems, looks like I can't search for asian servers..
wtf? i type in EA JAP, nothing pops out, but when i search for EA only, some random EA server pops out, no JAP, no SG..

why dont you try "EA Japan" instead, & turn off all filters, except PB & all maps

all filters are off, only EA Europe and EA China appears..

tried to log in to BF2 a while ago, but it keeps giving me an error "The server has refused the connection". Is EA having another one of those server outages again?

ranked server... ping average 150ms on streamyx...

but becareful, all those player are skilled...

you get die easily... (at least for me).... and even sniper shoot at them still survive...
