how to use da headphone wit mic??
settings?? do i need to change da vol settings to record when using da mic??

go to the sounds speech and audio devices under control panel...
click on the sounds and audio devices icon... and click on the voice tab...
there's a test hardware button that will launch a wizard which enables you to tweak mic volume and etc..

okay now here's my problem.. whenever i speak into the mic the bars indicate that it's detecting my voice but the problem is there is no playback...
when i press the test mic feature in bf2 there is a loud hissing sound and nothing else..
i know it's not my mic cause i tested it on another pc and it works fine...
anyone know what's wrong?


edit: it's amazing what another extra 512mb of ram can do to your performance...
before i was running on all high except texture and lighting at low plus no dynamic lights and shadows and no AA... i was getting an average of 25-40 fps...
i am now running bf2 on all high except lighting,dynamic light and shadows on low plus 2x AA at 45-60 fps (depending on map)

ok, since lotsa guys asked me how to run a downloaded battle recorder, i think its better if i just post it up rather then typing the same thing to 20+ ppl.

After downloading the demo, extract / move it to

My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Demos

(u need to create the "Demos" folder if it not exist)

Run BF2, at the main menu, click on COMMUNITY Button.

Choose the demo & play.

1-9 = speed (1, pause, 2 is normal, 3-9 slowmo-fastmo)
Q = options
T = another options

Battlefield 2 is not working on my laptop!

These are my specs of my laptop:

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz with HT
Windows XP Pro with SP2
ATI RADEON X600
512MB RAM

Everything working until the main menu, when it starts the loading screen, everything goes blue and everything freezes. Is my laptop heating up or do I need to set something? I've upgraded the driver .. Do i need to do anything in the BIOS?

I updated BF2.

Wow seldom i see people play FPS at laptop.
Try troubleshot the video setting all to low, let see if the freezing problem is related to one of video settings. I know when ever i set a certain option to medium or high, game will dump back into desktop or worse got stuck at loading screen. GL

just wondering wht is the best setting for it to play BF2?
its very strange when i set it to low(seems more laggy and chopy)
but i set to medium the lag drop .
i want to play as smooth as posible if not hard to play(but not by buying a new card coz i just buy only at 30/10/2005)

should i get more RAM?

my game setting
all LOW
except i change the
resolution --- 1024x768
distance --- Full
AA --- 2x

my frame rate is around 70-98
except when got some explosion by the arti
then the fps drop to 60

im using the 1.2 something, ermm the latest one.

anyone here suffer major lag today?
cause it is almost impossible for me to play,my ping is 900-1000 in every server,including ea japan

at about 9 i was in eaplay (aus) , ping was only 120+

i ran into the lag fest at 11am-2pm,then i got frustrated and quitted

Hi guys,i have a problem with bf2 special forces and this problem occured since i played the 1st version.ITs like when im walking,sometimes i cant control myself,it will start walking by itself and my keyboard will make a noise or smth.

I have a problem with the unlock weapon in BF2:SF

I had unlock the weapon for SF,but when im playing,it appear that those weapon aro unavailable to select,I only get to use those weapon which i unlock in normal BF2

Think it depend on the map, i have the SF support weapon its available with SAS army, i noticed that you can't use the weapon with other army/non SAS map.
I think F2000 for SEAL the rest i'm still learning. Rebel,MEC and insurgent don't have no new gun except the first BF2 unlock.

A lot of people are still confused with this.

SF unlocks is not available for use when playing SF except in the SAS and SEALS because its their default weapon. Only the original unlocks from BF2 are available in SF.

If you play BF2 you have the choice of 3 different weapon sets for 5 kits except AT and Sniper.


I wish they would've allowed the RPG as an unlock for the AT kit.
