Oh yeah, below are some FAQ compiled from everyone in/ut of this forum..

Q1. My BF2 goes back to the desktop immediately after loading. Im using ATI Radeon Graphic Cards.
A1. Re-set your Vsync settings. I find having it at App preference works best; especially if you're enabling AA. (thanks to Eoma)

Q2. BF2 lame, wont run 1280 x 1024 resolution on my super pc wif super video card. DICE think everyone pc is like lame cresfallen ancient pc?..
A1. Well, i dont know why DICE didnt include the 1280x1024 resolution on the video option, but you can still play at that resolution by adding "+szx 1280 +szy 1024" on your bf2 shortcut menu.

eg : "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

another working solution by jarsofclay, & i think its a better solution :

"The resolution issue belongs to nVidia's driver. You need to custom add the resolution into the driver profile. I've been playing 1280 * 960 only after the change. Let me know if it works for ya...

This same bug was affecting NFSU2 by limiting it to 1024*768 only as NFS needs to go thru 1280*960 but it's not defined in the driver."

im not sure if PAGN demo server is till up, but yeah, there is still demo server around for you to try, but i cant promise you the ping gonna be nice..

still, u can try the single player mode in the demo.

no u cant check whether ur keys has been used or not. a key cant be used by 2 ppl at a time. & enuf of this type of question pls.

well, basically, if there is a problem with keys, no one definitely can help u except EA. but anyway, im sorry if my tone sounds kinda harsh...

if there is another ppl using your keys when u want to play bf2, there will be a message saying that ur cdkey is in used. you can however, buy BF2 game, get online & register the product/cdkey. (which i dunno what the purpose of it.. maybe it'll let u request to get a new cdkey, & banned the original one.. i really dont know)

well mine only lags at certain places.. been like that since the 1.02 patch..

i lag at the place where blitz found the fish in stalemate 32,..
i lag at china's spawn point on top of hill just infront of US base in dragon valley 32
i lag at the center US base in gulf oman 32, & also hotel...

dunno why, everytime i enter the area.. lag occurs...

other than that i suggest u upgrade your pc otherwise u will end up spamming in the game as well... j/k..

9550 series shuld be able to handle the game with lowest settings, but i suggest you save some money & get a 6600GT or above. at least it could handle more future games

try switch on/off your microphone boost. if it doesnt work, try lowering down the mic volume.

ok, i got a problem here.

i got 6800 non GT gfx, but i played BF2 wif low settings, except the "Distance" which i set to 100%.

but still, i think my view is still very limited. ppl from distance can still kill me before i can ever see them. any tweak for longer view?

ok, since lotsa guys asked me how to run a downloaded battle recorder, i think its better if i just post it up rather then typing the same thing to 20+ ppl.

After downloading the demo, extract / move it to

My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Demos

(u need to create the "Demos" folder if it not exist)

Run BF2, at the main menu, click on COMMUNITY Button.

Choose the demo & play.

1-9 = speed (1, pause, 2 is normal, 3-9 slowmo-fastmo)
Q = options
T = another options

have fun

why dont you try "EA Japan" instead, & turn off all filters, except PB & all maps

not sure, coz i dont have SF yet.

anyway, if ppl failed to login to BF2 Authentication server today, i think it is due to some streamyx connection to international link is down.

try to delete all the folders in Profiles directory in My Documents -> Battlefield 2 . & run the game again.

or if cant, uninstall BF2, delete the whole BF2 directory, & also the whole My Document\Battlefield 2 directory, & re install BF2, & try to update it, & run

which server are you tring to connect? try filter the search to Gamearena & join the server. if cant, try to remove your windows firewall & try to connect.

latest version is 1.21, u sure you got that?.. & check whether that is a BF2 server or SF server.
