(or clean up the mess? cuz it sounded like plastic bag to me compared to M3300SF) |

The high pitch of Adele's voice, is it mid? Or treble? It's a bit lacking on the S730D

my edifier earplug after countless hours of listening, the sound is great!!
at first i feel the bass is lacking and the high end range is too sharp, but now is too sweet |

It is better to let the port move the air freely instead of mesh blocking there...
How about cut out for better fit? |

QUOTE(Cosef @ Sep 18 2011, 02:02 PM) Good then, but also remember the toroid tranny can be hot, make sure it won't melt the the filter. haha I was worried about that too before I try it out.I suddenly thought of an idea, using some car protectant or wax on woofer port, making it smoother airflow. I'm not at hostel all these days I can't try it turns out that it just gets constant mild warmth only when I blast for an hour or more. didn't even got a chance to reach plastic melting temperature. most of the time would be cold and dead dry on the other hand though the heatsink will get pretty hot when I blast music for that long (assume 2 hours). That explains the purpose of heatsink being there wax on woofer port? lol u kiddin' me? XD Edit: not much difference though. I doubt it'll improve anything (tested with my old cap ayam woofer that have long cardboard port) it just make a huge mess only XD This post has been edited by power911: Sep 18 2011, 05:42 PM |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 18 2011, 02:18 PM) Just a thought, can try and do no harm...It is a poor man style of reducing air turbulence. QUOTE(power911 @ Sep 18 2011, 05:40 PM) haha I was worried about that too before I try it out. Hmm...maybe toroid tranny is more efficient so less heat, I had mine quite hot, reaching 60ºC and still not enough to burn up the filter but long term might possible to melt some.turns out that it just gets constant mild warmth only when I blast for an hour or more. didn't even got a chance to reach plastic melting temperature. most of the time would be cold and dead dry on the other hand though the heatsink will get pretty hot when I blast music for that long (assume 2 hours).
