to me it sounded like S330D got moar trebles that pierce my ears...

bass sounded like subwoofer is in a larger box.

midrange is crappier but had better feel to it... like soundstage, better
flat vs box of coz box sounds better...

if only one could tame down the treble then it'll be fine. (or clean up the mess? cuz it sounded like plastic bag to me compared to M3300SF)

The high pitch of Adele's voice, is it mid? Or treble? It's a bit lacking on the S730D smile.gif

It is better to let the port move the air freely instead of mesh blocking there...

How about cut out for better fit?

oh yes I wanted to do so
but after taking some time test and feel the material, it looks like cutting it out does inaudible difference.
might as well leave it there, the difference is subtle.
you'll only hear wind noise when you play it loud and go crazy have your ear close to listen to it (yes I've tried it and I'm silly tongue.gif)

Good then, but also remember the toroid tranny can be hot, make sure it won't melt the the filter. laugh.gif

I suddenly thought of an idea, using some car protectant or wax on woofer port, making it smoother airflow. I'm not at hostel all these days I can't try it sad.gif

haha I was worried about that too before I try it out.
turns out that it just gets constant mild warmth only when I blast for an hour or more.
didn't even got a chance to reach plastic melting temperature.
most of the time would be cold and dead dry

on the other hand though the heatsink will get pretty hot when I blast music for that long (assume 2 hours). That explains the purpose of heatsink being there icon_idea.gif

wax on woofer port? shocking.gif
lol u kiddin' me? XD

Edit:
not much difference though. I doubt it'll improve anything (tested with my old cap ayam woofer that have long cardboard port)
it just make a huge mess only XD

Just a thought, can try and do no harm...
It is a poor man style of reducing air turbulence.

Hmm...maybe toroid tranny is more efficient so less heat, I had mine quite hot, reaching 60ºC and still not enough to burn up the filter but long term might possible to melt some.

No kidding lol, just to reduce air resistance.
