QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ May 28 2011, 01:22 AM) oh no, i have trouble with this You can find custom made interconnect from ssyycc with good price to replace your stock ones for improvements. i think i won't be getting an optimized performance for my speakers then And yea forgotten that you can stuff some more foam to your satellites speaker if you can open it out. |

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ May 28 2011, 03:11 PM) interconnect cables connect from where to where? (btw, i'm using a laptop) Interconnect as the one that connects from your pc to your speaker.and what do you stuff more into the woofer box? Stuffing....putting more foam into the woofer to damp the reflection inside woofer box. |

NBTD and did some replacement, 24AWG Cat5e on woofer line. It should be sufficient since the cable length is short.
![]() I like where it can plays better on drum...rather than keep booming low bass all the way. |

QUOTE(nismo91 @ Jun 3 2011, 12:39 AM) wow cosef, many mods on your M3300 already... btw mine the sub magnetic shield is gold color, not silver. I just consider it fully modded, didn't plan to go any further mod on the whole speaker set except building my own 3.5mm interconnect. Now trying to run-in again with Isotek burn in cd...i recently remove subwoofer from my 'modded' M3300 and transfer it to old Creative Inspire 2400 (5.25" sub 4ohm) since it has blown sub voicecoil. the bad thing is that M3300 is 6.5" and 8ohm so first i have to saw the box and the power is minimized. good thing there is no more muddy bass like when it was paired with M3300 amp. I guess now I no longer have any M3300 left... sub goes to other speakers, sats goes to other speakers. anyone want M3300 amp? |

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ Jun 5 2011, 02:08 AM) Stuff polyfill in to the speaker box prevents sound reflect inside the box like tin kosong, which causing distortion to the speaker. You can try it yourself, using fish aquarium filter, or any other soft material.Searching around google helps.... |

Did some replacement on my interconnect and speaker cables plugs and slight tweak on it.
Previous plug, on the left gets oxidize easily and i always get channel imbalance Hoping this new Neutrik plug can be better as i tested the interconnect plug has much better resistance to oxidize. ![]() Had rebuild the speaker cables again ![]() sorry no interconnect pic The vocal now can stay much tight in the middle, better than last time. |

If overheated the speaker then should be no sound at all coz the voice coil is burned or blurry sound at beginning after that back to normal where your voice coil is still safe.
Amp overheat will like off suddenly, but amplifier chip will get your finger cooked. but wait...you playing the songs at max volume always? or just normal listening volume? |

QUOTE(GooD_DaY @ Jun 22 2011, 11:37 PM) This is likely to be happening to my speaker, my bad for putting the speaker beside my laptop when gaming, the vent blow very hot air out.. But if you didn't blast like mad it should be working fine....@@ Looks like there are no heatsinks at the back of the woofer, are they? Added on June 23, 2011, 1:54 am QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jun 23 2011, 12:36 AM) LOL... I tried that in lab before. Fried one op-amp before xD Touched it with finger. It's hell so hot!! Another time i tried is transistor... Placed wrongly as i rmb-ed the CBE wrongly xD Super hot but what's miracle is... The transistor is still WORKING~ Hehe... My friend's group ever blow up an op-amp, with SMOKE coming out!!! Epic! They connected +-12V in reverse way xD Transistors are not that easy to kill, op amps are....This post has been edited by Cosef: Jun 23 2011, 01:54 AM |

QUOTE(GooD_DaY @ Jun 23 2011, 01:59 AM) Haha sometimes I blast like mad la, but for like one hour or so only, heat sink behind woofer? @@ Have to disassemble to see it? Blast for one hour without problem should consider that is not speaker or amp problem liao....checked the pic you took for rear side, looks like there are no heatsinks expose out like other models do. |

QUOTE(zhihao4456 @ Jun 24 2011, 09:36 AM) Hi, im trying to compare M1335 and M3400... Up to personal preference, some like M1335 some like M3400 some like other models.I see that M1335 give an amplifier output and I tested it out that it sounds better than M3400... But I get comments that ppl say the bass for M3400 is better... So I wonder why does the M1335 bass sounds better... And what does amplifier power output means? Does M3400 has an amplifier power output too? Plan to get R1600T for my project purpose.... But anyone here using WM8501 DAC or other sound card that cannot control the volume one? Does it cause your Edifier speaker volume control too over sensitive? Now i had mine here cannot actually use it for M3300, because even i turn the volume knob to the lowest, i still hear some sound, when turn a little, it will be too loud. |
