M1360
X220
M1335
which of the 3 should i get?
M1335 will give you moarrrr power, louder perhaps.
M1360 is too small for me. 8.5w RMS only.
Actually it depends on your usage. Do you need volume? Sound quality wise, all 3 should perform about the same. X220 got 22w RMS but no remote. Consider remote if you want to place the subwoofer on the floor or wherever.
M1335 is the oldest of the three. I'm using it. Bought it @ RM109 with 2 years warranty. No shop offer this price now and it's quite hard to get. Even if you get it, it's old stock. It's replaced by M1380 I think...
Another thing, M1360 has downward firing subwoofer. The driver unit is exposed. Never try it before though but I believe edifier won't perform below par at its price. You should really try them out at lowyat before buying. Choose some time when lowyat is not crowded and noisy so that you can listen clearly to those speakers.
M1335: More power (30w), worst in design though, Got remote with headphone jack, old model(doesn't mean not good but maybe not that easy to get)
M1360: Least power (8.5w), for small setup/personal use, cranking up the volume won't fill up a small room I think, downward firing sub, extremely light(i think i held it before and I'm shocked... Small and really light.) Don't expect too much from this, No bass knob(don't think you'll need one too)
X220: 28w, look nice but the cotton layer(cotton? whatever), in dusty place(complaining my condo here... super dusty due to nearby construction site. Need to "brush" my M1335 satellite once in a while) collect lots of dust (even subwoofer got that layer of thing), NO REMOTE (if you're that type of person who loves to control volume from PC/laptop, not a big problem-I love to rotate the button on Edifier remote xD), there's only ON and OFF button for bass(not sure how this works...)
You should go and try them out. Based on ur budget and personal preference, do the purchase. Maybe you should look into certain models with Separate midrange and tweeter instead of full range. Based on my experience on my M1335 and M3400, it does really matter. M3400 gives me a lot more details compared to my M1335. Nevertheless, both these speakers live up to standard for the price I paid.
OMG... Found out that both Edifier speaker I got are discontinued
They're still nice for me though
