If zl headamp is basic CMOY, then i should say got sound lor. . Nothing wow.

I think a full size amp is more justifiable.

I dun recommend you go to hd555. I anticipated your hd555 will end up collecting dust. Sell sr60 and get sr225 sound better coz grado and akg sound different.

From my experience, is better you got 2 sound signature different cans to complement each other. Hd555 is mid way to hd650/701 group. Quite high chance you will use more often the more superior one IMO.So once you buy 701/650...hmmmm..

Grado sound is more attacking and up front. I try the sr225, is really fun.Soon your legs start to tap into the miusic after a while listening.

I still not no so involving use 701 to listen pop/dance. But when i play classical pieces, the layering,detail and surround feel of 701 smoke away sr60 in seconds. As you can feel the soundstage have width,height and depth. Sr60 or most grado lack of this.

hd650 i heard before with zu some more. Quite like too. .
