Not sure bout the sony. But my advice is to get the ovc t20 from the bulk.
Its is rm50 more than the philips but overall is better.

I think they are good enough without amp. With amp it doesn't turn it into a whole different earphone though. If you think the bass is too weak you can play a bit with equalizer Anyways II wonder whether it is being hyped too much.

@walabies: Not promoting really. I just feel that it really worth the money than getting something else. Nice bass and treble with really good isolation for its price

Advertising? I wish I could and get some credits from walabies . I have both of them, philips and the t20. However, one of them is currently collecting dust. If u want, i can sell them to you cheap2 because I used to use the philips a lot until I got my ksc-75

Btw the t20 really goes deep into your ears. It might be a bit uncomfortable compares to the philips.

I have the she9500. I am not quite sure about your question..

Perhaps you want me to elaborate a bit about the she9500? IMO they sound quite muffled. Treble is lacking. The bass is pretty heavy and quite deep. Vocal sounded a bit recessed and they have really dark sound. Using them on my mp3 player I have to heavily tweak them with equalizer to get make them sound better. Comfort level I think is quite good. Isolation is not that good though. Plus, it is quite hard to drive them using portable player.

The sound quality is waaaay to different. If you want based on design alone, check out audio technica clip-ons. They are pretty cool. Not sure how much though.
