What ever brand is it better make sure they are here to stay. I had a security door for about 6 years and the lock spoil. I went around to ask about the security door to replace. I learn that the locks and accessories are all propritory. If the shop no more and your door got problem, that's it need to change the entire door

That is true, my previous door installer told me many of such story, end up house owner need to replace the door and frame. Earlier version had many issue with the locks and that happened like less than a year installed. Possoble due to exposure to the weather. Now not sure.

I really had bad experience with New Edge, bad quality and lousy service.

so far no issue with my Janus....

try looking closer at the built quality of other brands...am not saying Janus is superior

but generally because its not a 2 in 1 door.

those with SS grill and where you can open a smaller leaf....try look at the wielding joints....
also....the locks are normal motis locks....can be easily drilled through...not quite the locks you want to have

Same here, having issue with their lock (like it is jam when turning open/close with key) and subsequently their service, ie promise to come to investigate but no show for many times, and finally they now do not pick up my call. I  would personally avoid New Edge from now on.

Funny that you have mentioned your problem with the lock, 2 days ago when I tried open my Balcony door , the lock seems like jammed when I tried to open it (outdoor sides).

Hi guys, I ordered & fully paid for a security door from New Edge few months ago. I just found that the tile manufacturer does not selling the same tile model as my existing tiles anymore. And I don't want to take out additional money to change all the tiles coz my budget is really tight on the renovation.

Thus, I'm letting go this safety door at RM1000 (already paid RM1188). PM me if you guys interested. Thanks.

he obvious benefit of security doors is the protection it provides. A robber would have to use a sophisticated machine of some sort to open the locks on a steel door. In fact, most doors are actually drill-proof, and special devices are required to open them. Fortunately most burglars are not going to want to draw attention to themselves by attempting to open your steel door.
in this website can see very good security doors www.soodad.com

Went to research about security door..

Janus was the most expensive because of installation, wet work, delivery and it must done by them else they will not responsible with any wrong done by other contractor

Door size 5x7

3888 door , Installation + delivery(300~500) = 1200
p/s April will increase price

TOP = 2000 + 50~100 (delivery) + 350 (installation) - clearance stock as there will be new stock coming

YSE = 3100+ Discount , promotion (ended)

Secure = 3600~3800

New Edge = 3100+ with back 3x7 door (homefair)

On top on those, mostly is same .. not much different.. cant even differentiate it if removed the logo. Impressed with Janus which give the natural wood

Anyone know any security door which design like Janus?

Last week Perfect Livin Expo in PWTC - Janus quote me 3x7 for around RM34XX (Expo Price), gonna be extra bit cheaper if you take more.

I found Janus much more OK compare to others, the only downside is abit pricier than others..

My relative recommended New Edge because they have been using their doors for 6 Yrs still no problem. The price they buy consider cheap last time. Now can directly message them on Facebook already, But there's too many Facebook Page of theirs!!Took me some time to find their Official one.

They say this is their Official Facebook Page if anyone want to ask them directly.

They are going to be on exhibition at KK this week. Dunno if they will have good deals or not. Haha. Maybe if you LIKE their page will have discount? lol.. Security these days so bad la...

Anyone else have issues with this door ar? I almost confirm want to buy already, going to visit their Sabah exhibition to see if got good discount.
