The lock very important, it lock in side, top and bottom. If jam is hell a hard time to take it out. Also a good quality hinge is a must.

I won't be using this. The conventional Steel door will be god for me.

Do you guys think all doors are standard sizes?
Will a developer try something funky and setting frame that's taller, narrower?

Who say security door is hardly break in? They give you warranty if break in can claim from then?

I seen security door been force open before. Also seen security door lock jam due to poor quality.

Friend nothing is 100% secure, and that also why some security door have more than 1 lock. Even if they don't break in from the door, they will come in from roof, windows.

that's why I don't invest heavily on security door. For Windows I use the grills to prevent the thieves come in. For roof? I don't know why thieves can go to roof if your house is located in G&G environment? so what is your suggestion to make my house safe from robbers? From the front my house looks ugly nia  tongue.gif

G&G also have robbery and thief cases, just the frequency are lower. Even Condo happen. Roof, can add small wood to make the access smaller, or put the galvanized sheet meter this will slow them in. But that require you rem0ve the roof to install.

Nothing will prevent, most of the things will just slow the break in, not 100% prevent.

my roof using the light steel roof as the structure of roof. It's quite wide space for saving the material. The goodness although my roof is quite low but I don't face any heatness. My house is quite cool. Lost things are ok. Several years ago I lost my laptop, 3 pair of jeans, speaker, earphone, charger, bag and mobile phone. This is ok but sometimes robbers will come to murder you too.

Law of attraction, the more you worry, the more it will happen.

Just plan for the best, prepare for the worse.

If you want good lock, jimmy proof lock is one good dead bolt lock. Abloy produce high quality jimmy proof lock, but it sure expensive.

And you still worry, do like many European house do. They put horizontal door bar.

Hi, to those that have a double leaf door, did you notice the other door which does not have lock encounter this??
The steel is super soft, its bent due to some items fell on it (and i can just twist it back using my fingers.......not really secure la.....but no matter how i bent, its crooked now
havt even moved in yet sad.gif

I always advice my friend with double leaf door to use jimmy proof lock. Is much tougher and bite the two doors together.

You can ask if security door company can install or better if the can implant one indite the door.

What ever brand is it better make sure they are here to stay. I had a security door for about 6 years and the lock spoil. I went around to ask about the security door to replace. I learn that the locks and accessories are all propritory. If the shop no more and your door got problem, that's it need to change the entire door
*
That is true, my previous door installer told me many of such story, end up house owner need to replace the door and frame. Earlier version had many issue with the locks and that happened like less than a year installed. Possoble due to exposure to the weather. Now not sure.
