wait for XL. i've seen many video about XL now and its way better than 3ds, only con is the portability.

abit hot is normal, playing while charging will harm the battery.

If i buy the 3ds xl console only, w/o any games, how many demo or free games can i download and play for free?

3ds XL will included with 4gb memory card, instead of only 2gb for original 3ds, so you can dl a pretty decent numbers of demos and games in there consider that 3ds games are usually not that big, for free games tho....err....i never heard that for 3ds. unless u r talking bout r4.
