QUOTE(ogony75 @ Jun 7 2012, 11:33 AM) corsair sp2500 and edifier s530d which 1 u all will choose?? Haven't heard S530D but my SP2500 are awesome. Have interactive on-speaker equalizer and set up, sexy design, have clarity, and punching bass. What I notice about this speaker, I try to boost the bass from foobar, it seems like that the speaker are lock the bass at the max level. Maybe to prevent speaker damage. For movie, walao eyh! Haven't tried for gaming since I'm at hometown and my gaming pc is at another home.

Guys, currently using Asus P8Z77-V Pro mobo and it come with DTS onboard soundcard thingy... http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Soc...#specificationsAnd I'm thinking of getting this for my Corsair SP 2500: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2265846or this? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1805482The reason I want that because it's cheap and it look interesting. My question is, will that DAC improve the speaker, make it more worse, or no improvement and it's a waste? And which above DAC is better? Or you guys can suggest another one for me. Another one is I need recommendation for portable speaker. Gonna connect to my laptop and Nokia X6. I'm not familiar with these small speaker but some of them usb charged and some use adapter. Any difference? And if possible, can direct plug in pendrive or memory card. Prefer price below RM 100 but I can go up to max RM 200. RM 100 without usb and pendrive direct play still good enough for me. And I expect better decent output rather than the look. TQ... This post has been edited by diaBoliQu3: Jul 8 2012, 05:38 PM

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jul 9 2012, 09:44 PM) I have not heard the Corsair SP2500 before but I doubt it would sound good for music as sound signature for gaming/movies is very different from music. I'm currently an Edifier C3 which is good on music, IMHO better than many more expensive PC speakers like the Edifier S730 which have more harsh sound and more suited for Movies/gaming and booom boom boom. My speakers cost around RM400+ but when paired with a RM200 portable DAC of mine, the difference is pretty BIG. Very much improved Audio Quality. Dammmmmn worth the money to get a better DAC Anyway, the general rule applies. Shortlist a few models in mind and try to audition them as much as possible. If possible, bring your own music and test it out there. Best of luck I doubt the performance in music at first but after tested both speaker with my Nokia X6, from my POV, SP 2500 are on same level with Harman Kardon Soundstick 3. But that's .mp3. Not sure for higher quality audio. But SP 2500 are balanced in term of music, gaming and movie. What do you mean bring along music? I did try with my own music. The only thing I want to do is borrow someone DAC. Hehe...

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jul 9 2012, 10:57 PM) Ohhh allrounder? I thought it's like for gaming my bad I'm not audiophile but I think it suit's all my need. Audiophile might have different opinion. Hehe... Edifier C3 not bad. That was my first and last choice if I'm unable to get Corsair SP 2500. I also advice my friend to get Edifier C3 within RM 400.
