glad to hear all is good now.

and i noticed there is firmware 3.0.4.

ok, i just got it.

your "himedia launcher has stopped"... strangely enough, that happened with my q5ii today! biggrin.gif

totally stuck, forced to do restore, reinstalled everything.

2nd time in 3 years for 3 boxes.

the good news is i always keep a recent copy of all my apps in my q16.

all of that can be used on q5ii, no problem.

tvplus2.0... just google!

Few improvement I noticed

- Kodi closes faster
- device shuts down faster, previously it took so long I just need to switch off at the power plug
- picture quality a tad improvement

Disappointing badminton game....

Firmware 304 for q16...

Compared to 303, not much diff.

Kodi does work faster.

Recommend all q16 users to update.

for q10 pro and coming q5 pro:

http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=265888&page=39
http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?board=14.0

just glanced thru... with himedia wrapper, can deliver 4K, auto-frame rate switching, 3D, 7.1 HD-Audio etc. from kodi.

perfect feature for quasar.

time to consider 50-100mbps to stream 15-30gb files. laugh.gif

Is it good for casual gaming ? eg Asphalt etc.
Can it play online games eg clash of clans ?
How good is it at streaming hd movies, bd iso and 4k from local nas ?
How good is the UI ?

bd, iso, 4k... local usb playback is not a problem.

nas... i do not know but wifi with samba is not good for full bdmv's.

for that, i would explore a diff model - q10pro.

this new model has much higher specs incl dual band, gigabit port, 10bit, etc.

Btw on Google DNS, would it be advisable to set it on router or Himedia?

If on Himedia, how do you do it?

If you want all connected devices to benefit from using Google's DNS servers? Then it's alright to set it up at the router level. Just be aware that Google gathers data, so.... whistling.gif whistling.gif

Not if one knows what they are doing... Android's source code is made publicly available to the Open Source community.. Think encryption, spoofing, Cyanogenmod without gapps, deep-level sandboxing, etc.. You might mention Android TV boxes, well, that only comes on for one specific purpose.. Media consumption... They can have what's left. smile.gif
