Norton never switches off, even when you tell it to switch off. It's part of why people hate it so much. Uninstall Norton and get AVG Free or ESET NOD32 (paid). NOD32 FTW!QUOTE(reevephon @ May 3 2011, 08:57 PM) Update: So far I have tested the battery life with this laptop under Power Saver Mode, it last around 5 hours ++ with only Wifi + browsing. lol» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

@thieflord: Using extreme settings at 1366 x 768 resolution and no AA, Crysis 2's intro level leaves me at about 80+ Celcius. With no cooler. In a relatively hot room where the fan doesn't seem to be able to cool anything at all.
Your A53SV hits these temperatures with or without cooler? This post has been edited by ThisIsBoletaria: May 3 2011, 09:57 PM |

QUOTE(thieflord @ May 3 2011, 10:01 PM) Um... I'm in a dv6-6001tx thread...Anyway, I ask because my dad's gone and bought an A53Sv. Any useful heat control tips that I can pass to him? Not that he's a hardcore gamer or anything. This post has been edited by ThisIsBoletaria: May 3 2011, 10:05 PM |

@kenhirai83: You're running HWMonitor 1.16. If you download 1.17, the GPU heat data should appear, and the battery data should disappear.
@thieflord: Don't have that game. Not sure if want. This post has been edited by ThisIsBoletaria: May 3 2011, 10:13 PM |

Yes, downloaded 1.17 version. @thieflord: Don't have that game. Not sure if want. Manage to see it. Now only remain the CPUID memory mysteries. How many of you all are updated the latest BIOS ?? QUOTE(joonwei23 @ May 3 2011, 10:31 PM) well i'm currently using adapter without the battery. -250mb for integrated when i switch to Intel Graphic Card.cpuid is showing -250mb for my integrated gpu too. weird eh, but my 6770 is fine though While switch to HD 6770. 1024mb for Intel. -250mb for HD6770.
