So the different will be

6108 vs 6114
RM 4,699 vs RM3,799
Intel® Core™ i7-2720QM • 2.2 GHz vs Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM • 2 GHz
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (2 x 4 GB) vs 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (1 x 4 GB)
1 TB SATA (5400 rpm) vs 750 GB SATA (5400 rpm)
AMD Radeon HD 6770M (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated) vs AMD Radeon HD 6770M (1 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

Is the different in spec justify the RM 900 price variance?

The reason I asking because I just place an order last 2 days for the 6108 where is I can swear that the 6114 spec was not been publish yet… doh.gif

ok let's see...
4gb ram is RM125
hard disk 1tb vs 750gb.. i think the difference is rm60 only, right?

cpu and gpu extra ram price difference.. i don't know biggrin.gif... but they should add up to at least RM700 to justify the RM900 different

Added on May 26, 2011, 12:57 pmAnyone using Beetle USB Optical mouse? I got a problem...the cursor stays at the topmost of the screen and can only move horizontally. Right click and left click are working just that i can't move the cursor vertically. I try using it in mine Desktop (Windows 7 also), it works without problem! USB port problem? I did try using other usb optical mouse and it works.

I tried at every usb ports and the mouse still has the same problem(cant move vertically). But when i tried the mouse at desktop(windows 7) and mine old lappy(vista), it works perfectly. I don't think the mouse got problem...maybe the mouse not compatible with dv6 motherboard? Haizz

I'm in the same situation too.

The price different were worth it before the spec shown that 6114TX is also equipped with a Blu-Ray. Now the differences blurred out as it's about the same if you changed it manually.
Unless if they decide include a FHD monitor into the 6108TX drool.gif then the different is really worth it.

The 6108TX still using HM65 motherboard? HM65 chipset can support DDR3-1600? hmm.gif
Intel website don't have enough information on this chipset.

Btw, i think my Beats sound quality just slightly improved. sweat.gif

That's unfortunate. If they use QM65, maybe the Intel Anti-Theft Technology can be enable.
For me DDR3-1333 is enough, but 16Gb max RAM will be out of reach for a long time since it has only 2 slot. We have to wait for the appearance of 8Gb notebook DDR3 RAM and for the price to drop too.
Beside, to use 16Gb RAM, we'll need to upgrade to OS to Win7 Pro or Ultimate to fully utilise the RAM capacity.

Yes, Win 7 HP 64 bit can support up to 16GB but after excluding the graphic memory, only 13-15GB of RAM are available. It is more than enough but you have just wasted 1-2GB of the RAM.

Acid, I can't run the MSI Afterburner, it says some components are missing or corrupted.

Mind explaining how exactly you did it?

Thanks
