the "slim" adapter looks very tempting.. HP (or marcus tongue.gif) should make an offer to upgrade to the slim adapter though.. anyway the slim adapter should provides the same watt/power/volt (or whatever) with the brick-like default adapter, right?

btw i'm still waiting for my boss to clear the money for my company to buy this lappy for me... hmmm biggrin.gif

Just bought a HP DV7 from LYP. 17.3" screen, Window 7, Intel Core i7, Blue Ray Player, 1 Tera HD, 8 GB Ram, MSOffice 2007, ATI radeon premium that supports DirectX11. Good deal at RM3,500.

at what price is overpriced? and at what price it should be? hmm.gif

i think it's mostly personal preferences. for me, I would only pay a maximum of RM50 for any headphones biggrin.gif ... that's why I'm going to buy the dv6 without beats handphone

hmm.. honestly i don't think it's a good move by HP to disallow the sellers to sell dv6 without the beats. I mean look how many people bought the dv6 without the beats.. rm500 less (without beats) will surely attract many buyers

i'm just a small customer..loose one like me wont effect her company..i heard they are dealing with gov agencies/uni etc..
i can feel the arrogance from her reply..bad rep +1

well..lesson learnt..no point of arguing much..already paid for it..just pray no more faulty ram..then have to pay for postage again..another rm10
*
if the seller is really whom acid_rullez said is, then she really have bring down her reputation, at least a little. why don't you show her this thread and let she see what others' think of her action?

So I have made up my mind to buy DV6001TX. Called HP, followed up by an email, asked them to bill me the invoice + 4gb RAM.

After 3 days, they emailed me back and wrote:

Please been informed that we already change the model to DV6-6114TX however the specification and price is remain the same.

They claimed that DV6001TX has ran out of stock hence they are replacing the exact same model with a different model number.

I am still in total disbelief.

Why wanna change the model name if it is, like they said, TOTALLY THE SAME???
*
perhaps they have fixed the small problem faced by dv6001tx users? biggrin.gif like maybe dv6-6114tx's temperature when under full load is only 30C rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

nvr know hikari was that arrogance sweat.gif
but RM10 to post a notebook ram? that just wrong shakehead.gif i used to post using post express.. Rm3 ph34r.gif
*

[/quote]

about rm10 la..send the bad one and pay for the replacement doh.gif

what i meant by arrogance is when is ask her, why i need to pay for it, not fair..blablabla
then she just reply--postage bare by buyer.full stop.
no need to care i guess since i already bought the laptop wink.gif

that's just wrong. bring her to this thread and let her explain her action here.

Well, they are offering me the same price as the one selling in shops. So I thought just get them to deliver to me.

They claimed this is a 'new model' which has not been launched yet. I told them to send me the brochure to prove this.

It is all getting very fishy now. And I do not like any bit of it.

And why it took them 3 days to bill me the invoice?? Business too good??
*
in shops you can still negotiate the price. or at the very least, claim some free gifts.
