what is an Artifacts ? icon_question.gif
*
Load the JPEG into any editor, increase the sharpness and see the differences. Then you will understand what is artifacts due to oversharpening

How much woh the miku u got ? tongue.gif
Walau , yesterday I play around the Capture NX2,
it's freaking fail software lar doh.gif  So damn lag even lag than ACR, LR3 or whatsover.
*
Yes, the NX2 is a memory hog.

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Apr 27 2011, 05:02 PM)
Yup, that's why i said, personal and it's important to test out the more tele focal range effect/perspective.

As I mentioned, if you're looking specifically for portraiture, usually, you want the effect/perspective that tele-lens give, the separation of subject and background, how the background is being blown, etc. You need to try it and see the result of the picture. Usually, it's what people want but they didn't know until they tried and experience it.

An example is Wedding Photographers, why they bother to use 80-200mm or 70-200mm, shooting from far range; the resulting portrait makes the Customers amazed and happy because it's out of the ordinary shot and the resulting effect is very nice/different.

Well, not just portraiture, any kind of condition, each has their own personal preference; the important things is to know what the person wants, and try it out to know which one suits him/her best.
*
70200 because its a nice range for FX for events! Not to mention superb quality.

Louis Pang do take group shots with 70200 ya know tongue.gif.

but if the lens is 35mm dx format, i dont need to multiply by 1.5 right? if i am using a dx body
*
You need to multiply 1.5x. The 35mm is based on 35mm sensor size, not the APS-C crop sensor size.

anyways, an announcement :

Announcement: We regret to inform our readers that Digital Camera, Imaging and Media Show 2011 (DCIM), will be postponed until later part of this year due to the disruption of various related goods and products as a result of the devastating earthquake in Japan. Our thoughts go out to those affected by this tragedy and we respect current conditions which will likely prevent us from organizing a great show for photography enthusiasts. We seek your kind understanding in this matter and do look forward to seeing you at a later date this year at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre! Do look out for the official announcement which will be coming in due time.

Yeah, able to read both CF and SD together. Both on different 'drives' when detected on PC. This one normal reader only haha... but so far so good, quite reliable.

imo, the only thing D300 wins over D7000 is in body ergonomics.
especially where the iso is, and seperate AF-ON button beside the AE-L.
*
Well, its a semi pro after all. The D7000 is just an advanced entry.
