for me i think JBL is ok for entry lvl. zennn thinks it's 'Jangan Beli Lagi' for SQ application. hehe. depending on ur budget, u might get something better if u dun mind 2nd hand stuffs. the rest of the system still stock standard? to be honest, rm800 for amp & sub is quite tight if u wanna get branded stuffs. zenn might have a solution for u, he got banyak lubang for stuffs.

for rm1500 i can offer u a set of Boston Acoustics SL60 (component set) and Absolute 4 channel amp(4x100w rms). both used. both are american brand. at least u will have a mid end sound.

i have the perfect comp set for u. Boston Acoustic SL60, half SQ half SPL. Loud and clear. and oso the amp for it if u wan. a 4 channel, Absolute amp, 4 x100w rms. used them to blast b4, loud and clear is the word.

'use a while then burst' are mostly cap ayam. branded stuffs seldom use a while then burst unless u did the installation wrongly. i bought DLS Nobelium 2nd hand, whack it nicely and still no problem. quality of workmanship is there. u can ask a lot of ppl in this forum who bought branded 2nd hand stuffs, mostly have no problem. 2nd hand HU is the onli thing u gotta look out cos the lens might need to be changed soon. other than dat, amps and speakers are quite durable.

like zenn said lo, new full set for 3k will onli entitle u a mix of branded entry lvl and cap ayam.

if dls by local distributor, i think got ntc sticker at the speakers. But c4 or k4 i dun really recommend to get la. If for rm 300 then i nothing to say la. More than that not worth it d. If u really lack of budget and only wan new things, dun start ice yet, you will get itchy in no time if u buy low end stuffs. Even i bought mid end stuffs, oso itchy within 2 years.

2k for dat combo imho not worth it, i prefer used set in gud cond. i was silly to buy new set when i could afford a 2nd hand better products. anyway, it's up to u to choose... gud SQ i doubt it'll be coming from dat combo, but for sure will be better than stock standard.

if wat robinhood said is true, then i would recommend u, alpine, ida-x300, shud be about rm1k, but i'm not sure. i doesn't play cd, but it has all u need for compressed music like mp3, wma and aac. got usb some more. if u need to play CDs, then u can have a look at those pioneer ones and oso 9887 or 9886 dat u mentioned. as for speakers, a moderate all rounder would be gud enuf d. example, mid end speakers which cost roughly 1k like DLS R6A, Focal polyglass, Hertz HSK165 and so on. just stay away from local and china brands if u know wat i'm talking abt, i dun trust them too much. an amp would realy help a lot, doesn't need to be super hi end, roughly rm1k for a used 4ch is adequate. total cost wud be about rm3-4k depending on how cheap u can get those stuffs. hope this help...

amp boost output power, just have to see how much and clean can it boost. As for speakers, every speaker can handle boost, just gotta see the engineering and build quality, and recommended power handling in rms. Like the sifu said, what u pay is what u get. Most of the time la, hehe.

price for amp i think it's ok, but the G1 woofer i think it's a little high. but it's all up to u. if it were for me, i will get the genesis sub from zenn if it's still available. but if u using the GT475 for the sub as well then stick to G1 la. try nego till 2.5k or so.

which model of helix are u talking abt? wan bass? get helix dark blue 1000.2 for big subs abd big bass. if u need clean SQ bass, Helix A1 would be appropriate. i have the Helix P400 precision, which is quite nice for front components, mids and highs are nice, just a bit lacking in the mid bass area, maybe it's because of my DLS Nobelium 6 midbass which is designed to play higher range of frequencies.
