Thanks masters ckmoy007 & zennn for the offers, however, with my budget, can I get a full component set with amp too?

I understand that there are side speakers at the back panel as well. Does this mean my satria has 2 side speakers and at the back another 2 side speakers?
*
bro, amps ain't cheap, and i think ur stock HU doesn't have RCA output. so i think amps are not an option for u right now. in a SQ setup, wat most important is the front stage, meaning the back speaker are secondary or unnecessary. u dun wan ur favorite singer singing behind u. the comp set i'm selling is onli 80w RMS and has high sensitivity. suitable to be powered by HU.

my comp set is considered mid end la. better than those soundstreams on the market now, no offense to those ss fans. tongue.gif when i was buying my comp set, compared with DLS R6A and Alpine type R, but in the end i chose this. it's Boston Acoustics SL60. used... pls refer to this thread.

SQ setup? i dun think so u can get much SQ from ur stock HU and speakers. and SQ dun need surround sound, onli front stage is emphasized mostly. advice for beginner who wans to play SQ is get a decent HU and a front comp set first, then amp and sub system belakang kira.

i recommend u to get another comp set with dat money. i think SQ difference between 1050 and 4050 is minimal except dat it has more features and RCA outputs.

that's a wrong way to go for SQ. both sony and mohawk aren't catered for SQ. if u wan boston, perhaps u can consider my comp set. SL60, 2 series higher than the one in ur pic. in the pic, dats S series, then SX and then SL of mine. smile.gif

there are some new pioneers and 2nd hand alpine on sale, keep an eye on the garage sale section. as for comp set, try to look around for 2nd hand SQ brands like helix, focal, boston acoustics and etc. actually 1k is quite limited la. 1.5k u will be more comfortable with ur choice of equipments. wat i wan to say is, if u r trying to find satisfaction in ur car audio rather than just playing music which OEM system oso can do, i suggest u to save up more b4 buying, or u can just get a HU first for around rm700 or so. there is no harm buying 2nd hand products if it's in a gud cond. if u dun plan to install an amp, i can sell u my HU, Panasonic CQ-C9800N for rm500, it's 70Wx4 which is gud enuf for any system without amp.

japanese ICE has most of the top end stuffs in the world. just see that u can afford it or not. pioneer has the ODR line, alpine has the F#1 Status, Eclipse has Sound Monitor, and most of the hi end HU like Denon, Nakamichi and McIntosh are sold in Japan mostly. there are some brands dat we might not heard b4 is a gud brand. like Luxman produces some of the world finest amp, Bewith has some of the most expensive speakers i've ever seen. my point is japanese ICE aren't bad at all, they are comparable to euro and US ICE brands, it just depends on how deep ur pocket is.
if comparing amps of pioneer, DLS and Hifonics. it comes down to wat kinda application u plan to use it, if for me, i'll get DLS for SQ, Hifonics for SPL. imho, Pioneer is somewhere in between.

i guess u r quite new in the ICE scene. smile.gif everyone was a newbie at a point of their life here. so, wat u need to do is expose urself more, read more and frequent more forums, local and overseas.
ok, back to ur question, ur sub to be, for sure it dun look like the bising type. but the it's the ported enclosure dat makes me worry, cos ported box are tuned to give a boost at a certain frequency, thus when u listen to songs, u may experience boomy bass with this, not loud but boomy. some may like it, some may not, for SQ, wat we wan is linear frequency response. for some characteristics of SQ bass, u can search for Peerless XXLS, SEAS SW300, Rainbow Profi or Vanadium and so on. u can compare them to roughly understand the specs of SQ subs.
SQ sub, wat matters? transparency, speed and the ability to play 20-200Hz well. RMS value doesn't matter much if u r into SQ, u just need to match a SQ sub with an amp with gud control and u r gud to go. but to achieve wat i'm talking here might cost u quite a big sum.

these subs if based on price is high end, these are so called SQ subs, whose job is to reproduce the given frequencies accurately with speed, control and transparency. these subs usually cost around rm1-2k. i'm not so sure about entry lvl SQ subs, neva done any research on that. u can alwez google these stuffs to know more about the selling price, reviews and specs.
sound coming from the front depends on the tuner's capability and transparency of the sub itself.
