I posted a singaporean tax information somewhere around page 25-30 before.

anyway, the singaporeans paid around 90sgd as tax for their sgs2
*
78pages to read is too much for me. lol. 90SGD is about RM180 right. They only need to pay 90SGD and ntg else?
Rm2280 + 90SGD (Around 180) = RM2460 + shipping to msia = about RM2600. Rough figure but 2.6k still ok.

QUOTE(amir_izwan @ May 7 2011, 12:04 PM)
You know la Malaysia, full of politics. They set the rule, all "Telecommunication item" need to apply permit from SIRIM.

If u see the other side of story, they want to protect Distributor here from losses. If so many people buy phone from oversea which is super duper cheap, that how local distributor want to cari makan? Keyword, politic la tu  shakehead.gif
*
LOL.. Don1 to go into Msian politics, a bunch of donkey clown. haha..

Anyway, spotted a few msian on xda that they ordered from website. Are they on LYN? biggrin.gif

for the first time i found facebook useful! i just came across my cousin's page and he's coming back next week. issit true the vat can be refunded / claimed back? if yes, anyone interested to buy? i dun wanna make any profit.. just to share with u guys..
*
If your cousin cmg back next week he have to hunt for sim free stock now. There will be big shipment on Monday in UK for second batch. To claim VAT ask you cousin to fill up VAT form from the shop, bring his passport as well. Then claim it at London Heathrow airport (nt sure other london airport provide VAT refund as my place (Birmingham airport) doesnt offer VAT refund service.) And ask him to take out the phone from the box if he is bringing back more than 4 so custom wont be suspicious. smile.gif

or do you already do it before? can redeem?
*
Yup done it in Paris but I lie. laugh.gif
In Paris you can claim in certain shopping mall on the spot (cash) but you have to leave EU in 2weeks time (to get cash on the spot) and he told me if I'm still staying in EU for longer period I have to claim within 3months. They will give you an envelop for custom stamp and post it back from your home country (msia).

Trust me, i've been using them personally, australian telco sucks, not to mention all their plan have stupid data limit crap (like 1gb for AUD 20-30? wtf?) and so damn expensive. even their home broadband has data cap. many places that isn't covered by 3G etc etc etc..i'll pick malaysian telco anytime. grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Speaking from experience of using Optus, Telstra and Virgin, in Perth and Brisbane over the course of 1 1/2 year.
*
Same with Americans. laugh.gif
Love UK telco, not all, depends on your location as well. So far Three is the best. £10 100min 3000text 1GB data MSN & Skype doesnt use the 1GB data (Free) 3 to 3 2000min. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 7 2011, 07:37 PM)
Okay 1st, I found out how to change my lockscreen wallpaper,

but why cant it I choose what type of wallpaper i want instead of limiting me to my sdcard wallpapers???

secondly, yes the phone is fast, sadly, digi isnt fast enough, which makes the phone look like a fool.

Yea, it support bluetooth 3.0, but the fuk my lappy support 2.0 only, so play lan????

no nfc i couldnt give a sh1t, malaysia is almost a slum country i doubt it will be widely used in the next 5 years.

the capacitive buttons, why the fuk do they lit up as and when they want???

Im THE OWNER, I COMMAND U TO LIT WHEN THE FUK I NEED YOU TO!!!!

The accuweather, 3hours interval update for the weather?? u joking??? in malaysia, the bloody weather can just turn grey and rain the fuk anytime.. dissapointing...

video capture isnt the best out there for android phones.

resizable widgets limited to only certain widgets, unlike motoblur's.
control widget is dissapointing, why cant i adjust it, if ur giving it another mini tab just to touch it and bring another 5 options.... if u thought of that samsung, ud thought that id like to fukken customize it.

Though, my opinions are based on STOCK PHONE OUT OF THE BOX.
It can be fix, but my principles are how good can the phone out of the box do for the money i paid.

Positive opinions none. Why??? for the money i pay, it comes expected.
*
other country using 3.0 on their laptop so why nt change ur laptop? thumbup.gif
captive button lit time can be change in setting. smile.gif
I don need auto refresh. just press the refresh button on the widget is good enough. smile.gif
video capture is way better than DHD and i4 (personal preferences) there is a video on xda. comparing i4 and sgs video capture
don rly resize my widget. just leave it the way is it. keep it clean and simple. smile.gif

I think the wifi signal issue persists in most of Samsung phone.
But most of the time it shows 1-2bars but the speed is fast like full bars.
So the important point is the speed, how is the speed when it is only 1 bar compared to your 3 bars idevices?
*
My wifi 4bars, dl one app from market less den a sec? blink.gif maybe i'm using 10mb line.

What is the main reason for purchasing this phone for potential buyer and current owner?

For me would be battery life and that is all I wanted. UI etc is least important for a smartphone. Rarely a smartphone can last a day with quite heavy usage (except iphone, BB) and with large screen.

What say you?
