QUOTE(phantomash @ May 8 2011, 12:58 AM) rumor is that Tegra 3 is coming along with Nexus 3, which will most probably be the first phone that comes with Ice Cream rumor that LG producing quad core end of this year or early 2012? btw, from all the feedbacks in this thread, why does it not sound like the 9/10 phone that is being reviewed at Engadget? |

LIke i said earlier too battery life is the main reason i get SGS II. Other than that is not an issue for me. Sense 3.0 ka, TW ka, Motoblur ka, so what... I"m not a super duper geek guy.. As for average consumer feel all of the UI is good but cmg from htc sense to TW i prefer TW more. Personal preferences.. One thing in this year or cmg years is I need front facing camera as well. Haha.. =D

QUOTE(irenic @ May 8 2011, 04:33 AM) yeah personally i also feel touchwiz is not bad at all... but htc sense offers more in terms of user experience.. the interface and interaction between user and the device is richer in sense. YEah, and that is something new to me. Honeycomb style. however i do notice one thing i like in the SGS 2.. the message and email layout in landscape mode.. cool! |

Wow, so many bad review about SGS II. Not sure what you all want from a smartphone. Overall TW is good enough out of the box. 15hr and counting for my battery with 30% left.
@oldKyoo I just played Glyder 2 and I'm not sure why your phone lag but mine is fine. Simple homescreen. ![]() This post has been edited by jonrwg: May 8 2011, 08:46 PM |

QUOTE(Angelpoli @ May 9 2011, 01:35 AM) hmm, 2 questions i have here cuz i'm thinking of buying SGS2 and that's gonna be my first android phone since i'm using symbian last time, pls answer it. really appreciate it much. 1) you dont have to root your phone to change the lockscreen. Just dl any lockscreen apps in the market, ie widgetlocker1) we root the phone in order to change the lockscreen and make the phone works better. so after we root the phone, can we update the phone like usual or we need to root it back again in order to update the phone? 2)what apps do we need to install in order for us to have chinese language inside the phone which is without chinese language at the first place? thanks. Most of Android user root their phone is to use custom rom or kernel or update faster or to use some features that your phone doesnt have. 2) This i don know because i'm "banana" |

QUOTE(blackchides @ May 9 2011, 05:36 AM) Haha, I buy CD's and then rip into lossless formats. I'm not trying to take the moral high ground here. It's just that a lot of these developers are independents who pour a lot of their own money and hard work into developing these apps. A lot of them are only 1-5 dollars anyway, so why not show a bit of love? Haha... I know what you mean. Just wanna tease you a bit. And the tone from before is because I'm under the impression that piracy talk is not allowed. If I'm wrong, then I stand corrected. Anyway off topic, back to more SGS 2 goodness! Back to SGS. How to play Hitz.fm on android phone? Any recommended app? |

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 9 2011, 07:43 AM) Try finding the app called tune in radio, its free in the market, plus its got an extensive list of radio stations around the world, I use that app to listen to power 98. Tried that. Doesn't have Hitz.fm. Anyway, im still giving the swtpe keyboard.a go before I totally declare it not suitable formy daily uaage. I also have to add.the frustration of typing on lowyat forum, the screen keeps jumping,.i wished.samsung had some curser to edit words with pin point precision... When in landscape mode, its useless, I cant see what im typing.. The screen jumps too frequent in lowyat.. Swype is nice if you're used to it. QUOTE(zzzz52 @ May 9 2011, 08:24 AM) I have 1 question for the SGS2, does it able to output to a HDMI connector? Something like the SE ARC. You need a special cable i think, called MHL if i'm not mistaken. |
