Yeap, currently compared US and UK, if I not mistaken UK's VAT is 20%, that mean UK version is about US$6 cheaper that US version. But UK is very likely region locked like Theatrical edition. Extra US$6 for region A US version is okay for me.

UK is region B locked. Below picture taken from net.


I know the image is blur, but you still can notice it label as region B.

Beside this, UK edition amaray case is standard blur color, I hope Canada release remain use the black amaray case. (at least France version is black as well).

It certainly looks like Region B Locked. I had closer look at the Disc label at Blu-ray.com

France Edition LOTR EE (taken from net also): It is region B locked as well.

i just found out about the LOTR EE green tint problem a few minutes ago

is it that serious??

I don't care that, for me it looks ok, and it had more feel on it. (I test the rip version sample video before).

Anyway from forum, some user post UK edition no green tint issue. (But UK is region B locked)

Finish watching Platoon, the PQ is OK but not perfect, I believe it could be much more better, they is less sharpen and in details, and slightly color weird - slightly saturate.
Some user report it is grains, but I find it Ok.

Anyway, this still by far the best PQ I ever seen in Platoon. 3.5 star for PQ.
