Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate you can comment more about the heat rejection. Let say comming into the car after left under noon sun. Interior feel hot? How long it takes for aircond too make interior feel comfy under that condition?
*
Yes hot, but give and take 5 minutes with aircons fan speed spinning on high, it will cool down quite fast. The most unbearable part is the top part of the steering wheel. That one is really hot.

You can add new tint without remove the old tint for whole car except the wind screen.

Hi all, I need some advise here. hrv and asx which 1 would you choose? (Or maybe cx3?)
Personally I like asx, but the design is abit dated. Any idea is asx going to has a facelift something?

Because if double tint on the windscreen may cause the halo effect and also reduce the visual of the driver.
Some driver will fill dizzy & uncomfortable.

Before I get my ASX, I also comparing asx, hrv (that time haven't launch in MY yet), xv & cx3(maybe launch at end of the year? only able get the car next year?).
At the end i still choose ASX.
For design, i think it's depends on personal taste.
Exterior design, me & my gf like ASX, but my friend & bro like hrv.
After HRV launch and look at the price and safety spec, I did feel abit regrets because safety spec is better in HRV.
But after i look at the interior of the HRV, i feel happy that i choose ASX smile.gif

Most important is you must go and test drive both of them, test the driving feel and see which one you like most.

And you must know what is your highest priority criteria when choosing a car.
Safety? Design? Ride comfort? Easy service? High 2nd hand re-sell value? and etc.

I would suggest you to test drive both cars and tell us what you think about them both.

Also to share, last week near dutamas, saw a HRV stranded with driver and passengers looking confused and upset

I did a quick comparison between ASX and HRV on carbase.

I think the big point for me that I am gonna miss the larger boot space (437 vs 416 on ASX), airbags (6 vs 3 on ASX) and fuel save (I guess this depend on feet but HRV is definitely lighter).

Performance wise IMHO all go to ASX (ASX DOHC vs SOHC), 2 litre engine vs 1.8 litre on HRV as well as HP and Torque slight win.

However this is on paper. Real world need someone to test drive both and post here. I do honestly think ASX is somewhat limited by the CVT. HRV also on CVT, so the question would be which one have the more responsive CVT.

The cun value ASX is the winner for those looking for SUV. It is taller and stock with 17" rim versus 16" rim on HRV (?).

But one thing that throw my spidey sense is the part that says ASX does not come with alarm but HRV does. Hmm... existing owner this is true? How is the feeling without alarm? For instant when people break the window, no sound? Not even hon hon sound?

u have to open up the whole unit and then reseal it back to prevent water from cming in

another alternative is to get aftermarket headlamps

ASX price now reduced about RM 800 and now comes with 5 years free service, parts & labor included, instead of the 2 years service before thumbup.gif
